The Premium Amazon Eco Enclosure is BSC's flagship enclosed cycle shelter within the premium bike shelters range, designed for projects where security, design quality, and sustainability are required in equal measure. Building on the proven Amazon Eco Shelter platform, the Premium Eco Enclosure upgrades every element of the structure: an 80mm SHS mild steel frame replaces the standard section, premium sapele hardwood cladding replaces treated softwood, and full side and rear enclosure with controlled access replaces the open-fronted canopy format. The result is a fully enclosed, access-controlled cycle compound that delivers a distinctly architectural presence on any site.

Upgraded Frame and Cladding

The 80mm SHS mild steel frame is hot-dipped galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461:2022 and provides enhanced structural integrity and long-term durability compared to the standard Amazon Eco frame. Premium sapele hardwood cladding, supplied as 50mm x 20mm battens, delivers a rich, warm timber finish that is both weather-resistant and architecturally refined. Sapele is a hardwood with excellent dimensional stability and natural durability, making it well-suited to exposed outdoor installations where a premium timber finish must maintain its quality and character over a long service life. Nine timber cladding options are available as alternatives, allowing the cladding to be matched to the wider material palette of the development.

Full Enclosure and Security

Unlike the open-fronted Amazon Eco Shelter, the Premium Eco Enclosure fully encloses the cycle store on all sides, creating a secure compound with controlled entry through swing or sliding gates. Locking configurations include electronic access control systems, mechanical digital locks, keyed cylinder systems, and padlock fittings, giving architects and specifiers full flexibility to match the access management requirements of the scheme. An internal mesh lining can be specified as an additional security layer on higher-risk installations. The enclosed format significantly reduces opportunistic theft and vandalism compared to open canopy solutions, making the Premium Eco Enclosure the appropriate specification where a higher security threshold is required alongside a premium timber finish.

Sustainability and Roofing Options

An optional sedum green roof is available, allowing the enclosure to contribute to biodiversity net gain and sustainable urban drainage objectives on schemes where green infrastructure is a planning or BREEAM requirement. Solar panel integration is also available, positioning the enclosure as an active contributor to the site's energy strategy rather than a passive infrastructure element. All timber used in the Premium Eco Enclosure is FSC-certified, supporting sustainable bike storage credentials and BREEAM materials sourcing requirements. British manufacture reduces embodied transport carbon and supports short, reliable lead times.

Modular Format and Rack Compatibility

The enclosure is modular in design and can be extended in length to accommodate any capacity requirement. It is compatible with a range of rack systems including toastrack, two tier bike racks, and space-efficient layouts, allowing the cycle density within the enclosure to be maximised to meet planning conditions. Optional PIR LED lighting, guttering, and e-bike charging points are available as upgrades.
