Applikasjon

Product application:

Purpose: Provide a seamless, fully waterproof and damp-proof barrier for structural protection and wet-area tanking, compliant with NHBC Standards for bathrooms and wetrooms.
Substrates: Suitable for concrete, masonry, cement boards, plasterboard, timber, and other stable building surfaces.
Typical areas of use:
- Bathrooms, showers, wetrooms, and prefabricated pods (behind tiles).
- Basements, retaining walls, and foundations for damp-proofing.
- Floors and walls prior to applying final finishes.
- Behind coping stones and other exposed masonry to prevent water ingress.

Preparation:

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose material.
Fill gaps and cracks before application.
Prime highly absorbent substrates with a compatible Intelligent Membranes primer if required.

Application method:

Apply by brush, roller, or spray in even coats.
Use a minimum of two coats for optimum waterproofing performance.
Apply second coat at 90° to the first for full coverage.
Maintain manufacturer’s recommended wet film thickness.

Conditions:

Ambient and substrate temperature: Minimum +5°C during application and curing.
Protect from rain and frost until fully cured.
Allow to cure before tiling, rendering, or applying finishes.

Clean-up:

Wash tools and equipment with water immediately after use.

Poseidon is the fast, certified way to waterproof bathrooms, wetrooms and steam rooms - a liquid-applied, polymer-based membrane that cures to a seamless, flexible, tile-ready barrier in one simple system.

Specify with confidence: Poseidon is fully NHBC-compliant for bathroom and wetroom waterproofing (including the January 2024 requirements) and ETA-assessed to EAD 030352-00-0503, with an EPD available. No corner reinforcements or matting needed - its crack-bridging flexibility handles building movement on its own, cutting prep time and installed cost.

One product, every wet area: bonds direct to concrete, blockwork, brick, cement-based plaster, water-resistant plasterboards, OSB, plywood and even existing tiles - ideal for new builds, refurbishments and bathroom pods. Spray, roller or brush applied, water-based with easy clean-up. Coverage approx. 15-20 m2 per 10 kg at 1 mm thickness.

Complete system: pair with Copagro acrylic sealant for junctions and Supergrip primer on difficult substrates.
