5 mm PVC Pad for Paving and Decking

6 mm Rubber Pads for Paving and Decking

Rubber discs designed for areas with restricted height thresholds to raise paving or decking off the surface but still offer sufficient drainage.

Wallbarn has redesigned the 5 mm thick rubber disc for paving to incorporate integrated spacing lugs and increasing the height to 6 mm. There is now no need to use separate cross spacers – the integrated headpieces offer a more secure fitting and completely straight paving line.

The pad will lift paving off the surface by the 6 mm (the rubber pad is 5 mm thick and the integrated headpiece raises it by a further 1 mm). This pad will be used mainly where installers wish to prevent sharp slabs or timber coming into direct contact with the membrane beneath.

The surface of this circular disc is flat. The solid circular discs are made from PVC with a smooth finish. The plastic positioning lugs are incorporated into the pad as they plug into a small hole in the centre of the pad or disc.

Since the discs are made from rubber, they have a soft, flexible, hard wearing, non-slip profile; which means they protect the membrane beneath from damage. Rubber will also offer acoustic properties and create a separation layer from the deck.

They are extremely tough and durable and will also not become brittle in cold weather.

The 6 mm disc can also be used with timber decking. They have a load bearing capacity of 8,000 kg and an outer diameter of 150 mm.

The TD headpiece has side bars 60 mm apart, meaning a standard 2” / 50 mm wide timber joist can be placed between the bars. The joists will form a framework structure for the decking system and the decking planks are fixed to that framework.

The new TD Plus headpiece can also be used with the 5 mm rubber paving disc.

The timber batten will be fixed onto the side bar of the headpiece via the two small slots, which a woodscrew can be passed through.

7 mm PVC Pad for Paving and Decking

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) disc for use with paving slabs and timber decking complete with integrated spacing lugs. The pad will lift paving off the surface by 7 mm, making it ideal for retro-fit projects and areas with very low height thresholds.

The upper surface of the pad contains drainage channels which run out to the edges of the circular disc, meaning that rainwater will drain off the upper surface of the disc effectively. The plastic positioning lugs are incorporated into the pad as they plug into a small hole in the centre of the pad or disc.

9 mm Rubber Pad for Paving

Application:

To raise paving slabs off the deck to improve drainage and prevent damage to membranes. Suitable for softer membranes such as single ply, built-up and hot melt membranes, and asphalt.

Aluminium Rail for Paving and Decking

Extruded aluminium rail with shaped profile for greater lateral stability to tiling and paving systems.

  • The rail measures 60 mm wide x 20 mm or 53 mm high, 2 mm thick and 2000 mm long (alternative sized lengths are available).
  • Rail has four shelves or lips on the outside of each corner protruding 4 mm from the walls. These shelves click into specially designed clips on Megapads and Minipads. Rail clicks into the clips giving a secure fitting but still allowing movement. Rail is therefore connected securely to the pedestal.
  • Tiling and paving - a further headpiece is added (see product details). This system is ideal for porcelain tiles and thinner natural stone slabs as it gives greater lateral stability across the tiled area and connects the individual pedestals together.
  • Decking - the aluminium rail can also be used on decking applications where the rail acts as the bearer or joist. The surface decking can be mechanically fixed to the aluminium rail into the ribbed groove fabricated on one side which can hold a screw fixing effectively. The 20 mm rail height makes ultra low height decking systems possible.

DH Anchors

Anchor / fixing pin with a metal pin for attaching rigid insulation and other sheet membranes to brick and concrete structures. A pilot hole is usually required to be drilled before hammer fitting the pin into the structure. The metal pin is surrounded by a plastic sheath which acts as a rawplug when the pin is inserted. A circular surface washer helps spread the point load.

DH Plus Anchors

EPDM Downpipe Outlets (Perforated Flange)

Preformed shape for use with downpipes drainage holes on flat roofs. Manufactured with perforated flange to improve bond to waterproofing membrane. Flexible, tough EPDM shape is inserted into drainage hole and bonded and / or mechanically fixed to the waterproofing membrane in a sandwich application.

Outlet shape is placed onto the rubber waterproofing and bonded using adhesive. Adhesive will ooze through the perforations to achieve an over-and-under bond. A patch of waterproofing is installed above the outlet flange and fully bonded completely over the top to ensure area is watertight. Drainage outlet is protected by having additional layer and fully sealed.

A round leaf guard should be inserted into top of hole once installed. Always prime both the outlet shape and the waterproofing membrane before installation.

EPDM Downpipe Outlets (Smooth Flange)

Preformed shape for use with downpipes drainage holes on flat roofs. Manufactured with smooth flange. Flexible, tough EPDM shape is inserted into drainage hole and bonded and / or mechanically fixed to the waterproofing membrane in a sandwich application.

Outlet shape is placed onto the rubber waterproofing and bonded using adhesive and / or mechanical fixings. A patch of waterproofing is installed above the outlet flange and fully bonded completely over the top to ensure area is watertight.

Drainage outlet is protected by having additional layer and fully sealed. A round leaf guard should be inserted into top of hole once installed. Always prime both the outlet shape and the waterproofing membrane before installation.

EPDM SIPHON Outlet

The SIPHON outlet is a variation on the design of the standard drain connector in EPDM which incorporates the perforated flange and spigot, but also contains a siphon mechanism to help eliminate bad smells and odours emitting from the drainpipe up to the roof or deck.

EPDM Through Wall Outlets

Preformed shape for use with roof outlets up to parapets, gutters and through wall drainage holes. Flexible, tough EPDM shape is inserted into drainage hole and bonded and / or mechanically fixed to the waterproofing membrane in a sandwich application.

EasyChange is designed to offer the quickest, easiest and blemish-free way to install decking systems. Quality hardwood and superior DURO 2.0 composite decking is available. DURO 2.0 is manufactured to be resistant to moisture ingress. The compound is coloured before extrusion, which helps to guarantee colour uniformity and grain consistency all the way through each board. The decking boards colour is much more resistant to scratches and fading if compared to stained finishes.

The system is comprised of an aluminium under-structure rail system which is supplied pre-installed with pre-spaced special rotating nylon cams. Decking boards are then locked or unlocked in place with a simple turn of the specially designed EasyKey.

Megapads Adjustable Pedestals for Paving

Heavy duty, injection moulded polypropylene unit designed to support suspended paving slabs. Weight bearing capacity up to 1560 kg per unit. Height level can be locked using the locking clips to prevent unit unwinding.

Available in extra low and extra high heights with extended height adjustment range. Pedestals available from 22 mm up to 1020 mm. A loose laid system, the weight of the slab holds system in place. Height is increased by adding Extension Towers. 

The base plate diameter 200 mm, with a threaded stem unit and nut fixing and head plate. Height adjustment per unit of over 100 mm for larger pedestals. The head plate is 150 mm diameter with a removable four lug fitting clicked into the centre of the headpiece. Lugs are 2 mm wide and 18 mm high. Lugs separate the paving slabs and create a straight paving guide. 2.5 mm acoustic shims available to fit onto headpieces.

Rainwater drains between and beneath the slabs. The stem unit contains a larger threaded section per pedestal, and locking nuts to secure the exact height, ensuring the unit does not unwind over time.

Slope correctors of 1%, 2% and 3% available to click under the baseplate to keep the pedestal completely vertical on larger gradients.

Lug widths available are 4 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm and 10 mm thick. Unit can be inverted when paving up to corners so that headpiece becomes 200 mm diameter and base plate 150 mm diameter.
