Armourplan P

Armourplan P is a 1.2 mm thick polyester-reinforced PVC single ply roofing membrane suitable for use in a wide range of roofing applications on both flat and sloping roofs. The membrane can be installed onto most common substrates and is suitable for both new build and refurbishment installations and for specialist applications such as simulated metal roofs. Armourplan P offers enhanced mechanical properties over standard PVC membranes and is completely UV stable.

Armourplan P can be either mechanically fixed using suitable IKOfix fastenings or adhered, and forms a sleek skin on many types of roof application. All overlaps are heat welded using suitable hot-air welding equipment.

Armourplan Walkway

Armourplan detailing membrane (Size (w x l): 1.5 x 15 m, 1.5 mm thick):

  • A homogeneous PVC membrane for use on complex detailing. The membrane is unreinforced and has excellent flexibility allowing the material to be formed easily into intricate details ensuring the roof installation is fully waterproofed.
  • The membrane is adhered to suitable detailing surfaces using Armourplan PVC Contact Adhesive. All overlaps and joints with are heated welded using suitable hot-air welding equipment.
  • Mid-Grey colour to match Armourplan PVC membrane.

Armourplan walkway (Size (w x l): 1.06 x 20 m, 2.4 mm thick):

  • A heavy duty PVC membrane in roll form finished with a slip resisting surface. The membrane is designed to provide a designated walkway to lightly trafficked areas and protects the prime waterproofing function of the underlying Armourplan roofing membrane. Armourplan Walkway is quick and easy to install, by welding to the finished roof surface.
  • Colour: Anthracite.

Spectratex separation layer:

A range of polyester geotextile isolation and protection fleeces. They are used to protect the Spectraplan waterproofing membrane on ballasted roofs and as a separation layer over contaminated or uneven decks.

LiveRoof® Hybrid Modular Green Roof System

The roof modules, 1000 x 500 mm, are suitable for extensive, semi-extensive and intensive green roofs and are pre-grown in nurseries over a nine month period and supplied fully established into the growing medium. The drainage layer is hard wearing and flexible and can be cut around roof details.

NedZink® NOVA

A titanium zinc that undergoes a patination process to give a fully natural colour. The uniform medium-grey surface of NedZink NOVA® originates after a chemical surface treatment following the rolling process.

NedZink® NOVA STRUCTURE

A titanium zinc subjected to a patination process with a surface structure. Rolling and smoothing with imprint rollers results in a surface treatment that provides NedZink NOVA® with a surface structure on both the top side and bottom side of the material.

Rhenofol® C

PVC-P un-reinforced waterproofing membrane.

Rhenofol® CG

A roofing membrane made of non-rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC-P), with glass fleece reinforcement, designed to be loose laid under ballast, e.g. gravel or paving slabs on terraces, concrete on parking decks or with green roof systems.

  • Available in a variety of thicknesses, and has a 200g/m² polyester fleece thermally laminated to the underside.
  • The roof slope must not exceed 3° to prevent the ballast from slipping off.
  • Roofing membrane Rhenofol® CG must not come into contact with bitumen or tar.
  • Rhenofol® CG is available in 15 and 20 m rolls.

Properties:

  • Roofing membrane according to materials standard DIN 16 735.
  • Non-shrinking according to DIN 16726 testing.
  • Resistant to root penetration according to FLL testing method.
  • Dimensionally stable, tested to DIN 16 735, Section 5.13.
  • UV resistant.

Installation:

  • Rhenofol® CG is loose laid, ensuring that movement or cracking in the substrate is not transferred to the membrane.
  • A lower protective layer of FDT Synthetic Fleece 300g/m² is required over hard substrates with distinct edges (such as timber board cladding or lightweight concrete) and over bituminous layers (such as old roof coverings). Consult FDT (UK) Ltd for recommendations and details.
  • A vapour control layer should be installed over the substrate (as clause 395). Where occupied spaces will have high air conditioning loads (e.g. swimming pools and air-conditioned rooms) a high vapour resistance vapour barrier will be required.
  • EPS and rigid urethane insulation should be overlaid with a separating layer of FDT Synthetic Fleece 300 g/m². Dense mineral wool board does not require a separating layer.
  • For welding the longitudinal seams, Rhenofol® CG has a fleece free edge on one side with a width of 50 mm (+/- 5 mm). Throughout the length of the membrane, the fleece backing is continuous. The transversal cross joints therefore are to be covered by welding a 10 cm wide strip of Rhenofol® CV over the joint.
  • The ballast should be separated from the waterproof membrane by an upper protective layer such as an 0.20 or 0.25 mm polyethylene separation layer, or Rhenofol® TS.

Rhenofol® CGv

A PVC-P roofing membrane with polyester fleece underside.

Rhenofol® CV

A PVC-P roofing membrane reinforced with synthetic fibre. Designed for mechanical attachment applications.

Rhepanol Roof Paint

A special Polyisobutylene paint solution with copper or aluminium pigmentation.

Rhepanol® fk

A single-ply roofing membrane made from polyisobutylene (PIB), with a prefabricated self-sealing selvedge and an integrated synthetic fleece backing.

Rhepanol® fk can be:

  • Mechanically fixed on flat and pitched roofs with the use of Gripfix strips.
  • Loose laid and ballasted waterproof layer for flat roofs.
  • Partially bonded waterproofing layer on flat and pitched roofs with limited access using Rhepanol® Adhesive 90.

A range of prefabricated shapes for the treatment of details and flashings is also available.

The system is installed by approved FDT Ltd contractors.

Rhepanol® fk is available in 10 and 15 m rolls.

Installation:

– Mechanical fastening:

Rhepanol® fk is rolled onto mechanically fastened Gripfix strips, providing optimal wind load distribution and securing the membrane permanently to the roof. Movement-related stresses within lower layers of the roof are not transmitted to the membrane, preventing damage.

Suitable substrates include:

  • Profiled steel decking;
  • Reinforced concrete;
  • Lightweight concrete.

A vapour control layer, such as Vapour Barrier fk, and EPS, rigid urethane foam or dense mineral wool board should be laid over the substrate. EPS or rigid urethane insulation should be overlaid with a separating layer such as Fire Retarding Layer fk.

– Loose laid:

The roofing membrane restrained against wind uplift forces by ballast. The membrane is separated from the other layers of the roof build-up so movement and stresses in the supporting structure are not transferred to the membrane.

Suitable substrates include:

  • Reinforced concrete;
  • Lightweight concrete.

A vapour control layer, such as Vapour Barrier fk, and EPS or rigid urethane foam should be laid over the substrate. An upper protective layer, such as Protection Sheet TS fk should be used where the ballast will consist of paving slabs over a gravel bed.

– Bonded:

Bonding Rhepanol® fk roofing membrane using Rhepanol® Adhesive 90, ensures the maximum possible mobility of the roofing membrane. The membrane is securely bonded to the substrate by applying adhesive stripes, a minimum of eight per metre

Suitable substrates include:

  • Profiled steel decking;
  • Reinforced concrete;
  • Lightweight concrete.

A vapour control layer, such as Vapour Barrier fk, and EPS or rigid urethane foam should be laid over the substrate.

Rhepanol® hg

Polyisobutylene (PIB) roofing membrane for sealing in loosely laid layer build-ups with ballast, with green roof system.
