Acoustic Slab

A high quality resin bonded, semi rigid, stone wool slab, designed to combine excellent acoustic, fire resistance and thermal performance with easy fitting into partitions.

DuoRock roofing board

Dual-density insulation boards for use under mechanically fastened membranes.

FIREPRO Insulated Fire Sleeve

A combination of Rockwool insulation and graphite intumescent powder designed to provide fire stopping and thermal insulation of pre-insulated pipe penetrations. Designed for use on copper, mild steel, polypropylene, HD polyethylene, ABS and PVC pipes passing through masonry and plasterboard walls and Rockwool Ablative Coated Batts.

The fire sleeves are designed to fire stop pipework operating at temperatures between 0°C and 180°C. At low temperatures, care should be taken to maintain the vapour barrier. They can considerably reduce the noise emission from noisy pipework - for higher standards of acoustic insulation, please refer to Rockwool ‘Techwrap2 and Techtube’ data sheet.

Rockwool insulation products do not contain blowing agents with an ozone depletion potential (ODP) or global warming potential (GWP), are CFC-HCFC-HFC free and 97% recyclable. They will not react with metal components or cause loss of plasticiser from PVC cables and pipes however; precautions should be taken when insulating austenitic stainless steel, regardless of insulation type. The product offers excellent thermal, acoustic and fire protection insulation without providing sustenance to vermin or encouraging the growth of fungi, moulds or bacteria.

The Fire Sleeves are supplied 300 mm long and are simply cut to the desired length. No specialist tools, mastics or ancillary materials are required for the fitting of the sleeves. To maintain the fire rating, the minimum allowable length of sleeve is 60 mm. The Fire Sleeves can accommodate irregularities in the wall/floor opening and the pipe overall diameter up to 15 mm. Multiple pipe penetrations can be accommodated in conjunction with Rockwool Ablative Coated Batts.

  • Quick, simple and accurate installation.
  • Maintains pipe insulation at penetration points.
  • Supplied with integral vapour barrier.
  • No mastic or ancillaries required.
  • Excellent thermal and acoustic insulation.

ROCKWOOL Acoustic Membrane

A flexible, high density polymeric mass layer used n conjunction with Rockwool insulation products for improving the acoustic performance of built-up roof constructions.

Rockwool EnergySaver

An entirely dry system utilising granulated Rockwool insulation blown into an external wall cavity to a predetermined density. No glues or catalysts are involved in the installation procedure. The system can be used for new or existing masonry cavity walls as well as certain types of non-traditional structures and is suitable for use in any UK exposure zone. Refer to Rockwool technical literature for types of non-traditional structures that can be insulated with Rockwool EnergySaver.

Non-combustible, achieving a classification of A1 in accordance with BS EN 13501-1.

Rockwool insulation products do not contain blowing agents with an ozone depletion potential (ODP) or global warming potential (GWP), are CFC-HCFC-HFC free and 97% recyclable. They will not react with metal components or cause loss of plasticiser from PVC cables and pipes.

ROCKWOOL FIREPRO Acoustic Intumescent Sealant

As part of the comprehensive FIREPRO® range of fire protection products, ROCKWOOL Acoustic Intumescent Sealant is suitable for sealing joints and service penetrations in fire walls, partitions, fire rated door frames and glazing systems This high specification product is designed to be used in joints with high movement capability or where they are formed between dissimilar substrates, for example, steel and masonry.

Acoustic Intumescent Sealant is a high specification, one part water based acrylic sealant. The sealant is extruded from a 310ml loaded cartridge into a standard sealant gun or a 600ml sausage loaded into a closed barrel sealant gun. The depth of the joint will depend on the gap to be filled and the fire rating required

The sealant is fast curing, approximately 15 minute tack free time. When fully cured the sealant can be overpainted.

  • All joints up to 40 mm wide.
  • Up to 4 hours fire protection.
  • Used in Joints with high movement capability.

ROCKWOOL FirePro Firestop Compound

A specially formulated gypsum based product intended to provide a fire rated seal around service penetrations in fire rated walls and floors. Supplied as a powder to be mixed with water, the resulting compound is load bearing and provides a smoke seal and good acoustic insulation.

The compound is trowelled or poured around the service penetration and can be used in floors and walls.

Existing Firestop Compound installations can be easily drilled or sawn to allow the provision of additional or replacement services and subsequently re-sealed. Recommended minimum clearance between services and surrounding structure: 50 mm, or half the diameter, whichever is greater.

  • Smoke seal.
  • Good acoustic barrier.
  • Suitable for making good around most types of service penetrations.
  • Load bearing – contact ROCKWOOL for further details.
  • Simple installation.
  • No smoke emission.
  • Maintenance free.
