Mute Group has led the way in acoustical design & build since its formation in 2010, working with numerous global enterprises and institutions, across all sectors, including Alexander McQueen, Disney, HS2, Oxford University and Westminster Cathedral.
Mute Group is comprised of three specialist divisions: Mute Soundproofing®, Mute Acoustics® and Akustak®.
Akustak® is a patented, acoustic modular wall system.
Designed for materials optimisation and off-site construction, Akustak® minimises waste, during manufacture and installation, whilst its unique demountable form, facilitates recovery and reuse, at the point of deconstruction.
Akustak® has been laboratory tested for fire safety and resistance to sound, guaranteeing Building Regulations – Part B and E compliance.
Prefabricated and portable, Akustak® radically reduces construction timescales, with configurations installed from 15 m2 / per hour, ready for plastering and/or decoration, whilst the Forest and Chroma range come pre-finished; eliminating the need for wet trades.
Akustak® has been selected for Innovative Start-up Membership by the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) and for growth and scale support, through the UK innovation agency’s Innovate UK EDGE.
