325 Thermal Roof Panel System

Mayplas Thermal Roof Panel System is designed for use as warm roof rafter insulation within pitched roofs. The system consists of a high density rock fibre upper panel and a low density rock fibre lower panel.

514 Paper Faced Sound Deadening Roll

The product consists of a resilient 36 kg/m³ density glass fibre roll faced on one side with bitumenized kraft paper - the paper facing has a 75 mm flange on one long side to overlap the adjoining roll. Complies with the resilient layer guidance given in 2003 edition of Approved Document E of the Building Regulations (E&W).

Applications:

  • A resilient layer under timber raft floating floors.
  • A resilient layer under cement sand screed floating floors.

515 Paper Faced and Flanged Glass Fibre Roll

Mayplas 515 Paper Faced and Flanged Glass Fibre Roll is designed for use in thermal and acoustic applications where good tear strength and fixing flanges are required, typically between studwork, rafters and ceiling joists. The paper facing forms a vapour check to BS EN 2972 and is usually placed on the warm side of the structure.

Consists of 10 kg/m³ density glass fibre roll faced and flanged on one side with bituminized kraft paper.

Benefits:

  • 60–200 mm thicknesses.
  • Vapour check to BS EN 2972.
  • Bituminized kraft paper facing.
  • To suit 400 or 600 mm centres.

534 Foil Faced and Flanged Glass Fibre Roll

Mayplas 534 Foil Faced and Flanged Glass Fibre Roll is designed for use in thermal and acoustic applications where good tear strength and fixing flanges are required, typically between studwork, rafters and ceiling joists. The foil facing forms a vapour barrier to DIN 53122 and is usually placed on the warm side of the structure.

Consists of 10 kg/m³ density glass fibre roll faced and flanged on one side with FSK foil.

Benefits:

  • 60–200 mm thicknesses.
  • Vapour barrier to DIN 53122.
  • Class 1 surface spread of flame.
  • To suit 400 or 600 mm centres.

551-552 Cavity Barriers

Manufactured using polythene enclosed non combustible rockfibre in bespoke sizes designed to be compressed by 15 mm within the cavity - this 'made to measure' cavity barrier design provides a minimum of 1 hour fire resistance and is crucial in sound applications where 'flanking transmission' can be the weak link of an otherwise robust construction. Meets the requirements of:

  • 2000 Building Regulations (E&W) Approved Document B (Fire Safety).
  • 2003 Building Regulations (E&W) Approved Document E (Sound Resistance).
  • Robust Details Part E.
  • NHBC Standards 2005.

Tested by Warrington Fire Research to provide one hour fire resistance – double the minimum requirement. Meets Parts B and E (including Robust Details) of the Building Regulations (E&W) 2000. Mayplas Deluxe and Party Wall Ranges have been assessed to provide two hours fire resistance.

554 Firestop Strip

550 Series Firestop Systems have been developed to provide up to four hours firestopping at the junctions of compartment walls and floors. The systems have been tested in accordance with BS EN 476-20.

553 Firestop Strip is a no compression, tight fitting (extended width) strip for rectangular voids. It is used in cases where the fire resistance of a deck horizontally is less than the fire resistance of the wall itself.

  • Maximum void size to be filled: 50% of wall width.
  • Available for voids of between 10–100 mm.

556 Firestop Slab

556 Firestop Slab has been developed to provide two hours firestopping in building cavities up to 300 mm wide. The system has been tested by Warrington Fire Research to BS EN 476-20.

It is manufactured using 75 mm thick high density rock fibre slab foil faced on both sides. Firestop Slab has rebated ends for a secure fit and is available in full slabs 1160 x 900 mm, or factory cut to size.

It can provide two hours fire resistance in masonry cavity voids and between the edge of a concrete floor slab and curtain walling systems.

Suitable for cavities 50–300 mm wide.

556AF Access Floor Firestop Slab

556AF has been developed to provide 30 or 60 minutes firestopping in voids of up to 600 mm between raised access floors and structural floors. The system has been tested by the Loss Prevention Council to BS EN 476-20. 556AF is foil faced both sides and is available in full slabs for cutting on site or factory cut to size.

To suit individual floor void depths of between 50–600 mm. Class 0 rated with excellent smoke resistance.

557 Acoustic Cavity Closer

Acoustic cavity closer with tissue faced rockfibre slab laminated to black polyethylene DPC.

558 Firestop Block

550 Series Firestop Systems have been developed to provide up to four hours firestopping at the junctions of compartment walls and floors. The systems have been tested in accordance with BS EN 476-20.

558 Firestop Block is a trapezoidal block for infilling nominated profiled steel deck constructions such as Ribdeck 60, Alphalok etc. It is cut to the exact profile of the steel deck to allow for a tight, no compression fit.

562 BCO Foil Wrapped/ Black Tissue Faced Acoustic Pad

Mayplas Acoustic Pad is designed for use in metal tray suspended ceiling systems. It helps reduce 'room-to-room' sound transmission over ceiling voids and helps dampen sound within the room. It is especially suitable for high tech or sensitive areas where loose fibres could cause problems. Fire rating to Class 0 of the Building Regulations (E&W).

571/ 572 Acoustic Roof Slab

Mayplas Acoustic Roof Slab is designed for use in double skinned metal roofing systems to enhance sound absorption performance. The tissue facing helps to avoid the slab edges from showing as shadows through the perforated inner sheet and helps prevent any fibrous particles from penetrating the perforations.

579 Acoustic/ Thermal Floor Slab

Mayplas Acoustic Floor Slab is designed for the acoustic insulation of separating floors and is glass tissue faced and rebated on all edges – it is ideally suited for both ‘wet’ construction (under 65 mm cement sand screed) and ‘dry’ construction (under flooring grade chipboard). Mayplas Thermal Floor Slab is designed for the thermal insulation of ground floors and is glass tissue faced with square edges.

712 Insulated Wall Board
