Kingspan Insulation

Kingspan Thermabate is a cavity closer box section comprising an unplasticized (PVC-U) extrusion with a high performance fibre–free rigid thermoset urethane insulation core manufactured with a blowing agent that has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and low Global Warming Potential (GWP).

It prevents thermal bridging, and the PVC-U box section forms a positive damp proof barrier and key for the direct application of plaster. It effectively prevent condensation, pattern staining and mould growth frequently associated with traditional methods of closing cavities.

The cavity closer is manufactured under a management system certified to ISO 9001: 2015 (Quality Management Systems. Requirements), ISO 14001: 2015 (Environmental Management Systems. Requirements), BS OHSAS 18001: 2007 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems. Requirements) and ISO 50001: 2011 (Energy Management Systems. Requirements with guidance for use).

Application:

For closing cavities around wall openings in masonry cavity, timber frame and steel frame system (SFS) wall constructions.

Kingspan Thermaroof TR24 is CFC / HCFC free and is manufactured with a blowing agent that has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP).

Kingspan Thermaroof TR24 is also manufactured in accordance with the Harmonised Standard BS EN 13165: 2001 (Thermal insulation products for buildings- Factory made rigid polyurethane foam (PUR) products- Specification).
