P&J Live is the largest event complex in the North of Scotland with 48,000sqm of multi-purpose event space. The new arena was built to replace the former AECC. Therefore, the new facility was expected to keep up with the growing demand for large-scale events and needed a complete flexible space concept. HUFCOR were selected to plan, prepare, and install 28 movable walls in total. Together with local project management experience of Cord Contracts, our Scottish Distributor, Hufcor came up with a bespoke movable partition design solution.

The International Convention Centre Wales opened its doors in September 2019. This state-of-the-art meeting venue covers all types of activities from smaller meetings to group training, conferences through to conventions and large exhibitions. This dynamic flexible space has no fewer than 15 meeting rooms, a 4,000sqm pillar free hall and an auditorium which can host up to 5000 delegates at the same time. A key desire in the exhibition hall was the provision of flexibility with quick set up time, easy operational handling, great acoustics and a finish that would match the perimeter walls.

Manchester Metropolitan University have recently installed the first Hufcor ‘Summit’ vertically operated movable wall in Europe. The Hufcor Summit fully automatic operable wall provides the ideal solution to divide the open plan area from the servery area in the Geoffrey Manton Building. The system is made up of four panels approximately 11000mm wide, each panel stacking in the ceiling void when the wall is retracted. The panels are finished in a white high gloss finish which also provides a writable surface, in the case of MMU, a graphic design has been applied to enhance the image of the Atrium Café.

Functionally the new spaces Siemens office allows for relaxation and work in an informal environment. More specifically, the area features a kitchenette with a big dining table, a sitting and meeting area and much more. The movable walls create open plan office space but can configurate the room into several private meeting areas when needed. To match the guiding principles of the interior design a timeless white as well as a yew wood grain finish were chosen.

New WÜRTH Serbia Training & Test Center in Belgrade is constructed inside a former 540 m² warehouse and it consists of two main spaces. A 270 m² multi-purpose training space can easily be transformed into different room set-ups by movable walls Type 100 to serve any programmatic purpose from series of individual classrooms or offices, to conference space, gallery or even a party venue.

Toshiba UK has installed Hufcor® movable walls at a recent tenant fit out within an office building at Stockley Park near Heathrow. The Hufcor 100 series operable walls provide flexible meeting spaces. The operable door panel parking has been split into two stacks to maximize the useable space converting a large room into three breakout meeting rooms. Hufcor UK supplied and installed two identical walls finished in a walnut veneer. Each system was designed with an integral switch within the track that allows the lighting in each room to be operated individually when the walls are in place.

The University of Advanced Industrial Technologies (ESTIA) in Bidart, France was to be expanded by a new ESTIA 3 building. For this purpose, 4 different partition systems were planned in order to implement the concept of a flexible learning environment. For the area of the amphitheatre, an operable partition wall with a bordeaux-coloured surface was installed.
