Data Sheet 1 - ecodek® Quick Installation Guide

This datasheet is designed as a quick & simple guide to using ecodek®, please ensure that you have also read & understood the Technical Data in full before commencing any construction projects.

Data Sheet 15 - Profile Weights

Wood Polymer Composite (WPC) profile weights. Use this data sheet to compare weights of various composite profiles, specifically the weight of the Advanced Technology (AT) composite decking board and the "Classic" ecodek composite decking board.

Data Sheet 2 - ecodek® Technical Data

ecodek® composite decking is a mixture of hardwood fibres (approximately 55%) and high density polyethylene with the addition of certain additives to improve physical, weathering and processing properties. The polyethylene used in this product is a high quality, recycled material made up of mainly bottle, film and pipe materials. The hardwood fibres are also a recovered material which are processed, filtered and dried before being compounded with the polyethylene. The resulting product is 90-96% recycled and 100% recyclable.

Data Sheet 7 - ecodek® Slip Test Data

The following slip test results for Ecodek wood/plastic composite deck boards are as tested in Sep 2010 to BS7976-2: 2002. These tests have been done on clean boards. In order to maintain traction levels similar to these shown, it is imperative that the deck is designed so as to allow proper drainage and that the deck surface is kept as clean as possible.

ecodek Case Study - Residential Project

ecodek® is specified in a project with SC Architecture to provide the garden decking for soldiers homes, in association with the Ministry of Defence, the Reserve Forces and Cadets Association (RFCA) and Help for Heroes.

ecodek Case Study - Trafalgar Place

Leading architectural practice dRMM specified ecodek® material on their 2016 RIBA Stirling Prize shortlisted project Trafalgar Place. Completed in 2015, this Lendlease development is a flagship housing project in the regeneration scheme of Elephant and Castle. Comprising 235 high-quality homes (including 25% affordable housing) the project has successfully integrated the redevelopment with the historic neighbouring buildings. The inclusion of 25 mature London Plane trees and numerous public pedestrian areas affords a rich and vibrant landscape. All homes within the development have either an ecodek® wood polymer composite balcony, roof terrace or composite decking in the garden.

ecodek® Case Study - Mann Island, Liverpool.

The owners of the apartment required a low-maintenance decking solution. A prevailing Westerly wind means that the terraces are regularly exposed to saltwater and rain and not having to worry about regular cleaning and the threat of expensive repairs was a priority on this project. The 25-year warranty gave the client the necessary peace of mind. In keeping with the exterior of the building, the owners required a sleek & modern finish for their terrace in a contemporary colour scheme. The Pebble Grey ecodek® will slowly weather to a silvery colour, which will be perfectly suited to the buildings aesthetic.

ecodek® Case Study - Office Space in Town, London.

Design and Build company Peldon Rose specified ecodek® for the Office Space in Town (Monument) project. The installation was done by Belderbos Landscapes. The stunning new rooftop cafe overlooks the Thames and has spectacular views of London landmarks.

ecodek® Case Study - RSPB Reserve, Weymouth.

The updated terraced area has been specifically designed so visitors can enjoy uninterrupted views across the lake. Additional anti-slip inserts were used as this was a high traffic public area in wetlands. The Centre had major refurbishment in 2012 to become a dedicated information and advice point, welcoming visitors and showcasing the wonderful wildlife of the reserve and its sister site at Lodmoor and of the wider borough. The installation of ecodek® with additional anti-slip inserts has also increased the accessibility for visitors in wheelchairs or with prams.

ecodek® Case Study - South Bank Tower, London.

This luxurious redevelopment, situated in the vibrant heart of Londons South Bank, epitomises high-end residential and office spaces in the city. As a prime residential development it comprises 173 luxury apartments and 11 additional storeys, was developed by CIT and designed in collaboration with Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, with landscaping by Frosts Landscape Construction Ltd.

ecodek® Case Study - West Lakes Village.

Designed in collaboration with Mumsnet, this landmark scheme involved the design, construction and fit out of 117 chalets at the existing Butlins resport in Minehead. Architects Allison Pike Partnership worked with principal contractor McGoff and Byrne on the exciting £16 million development of 117 chalets located around two lakes with external terraced spaces and walkways, including a bridge. Each of the seaside style chalets has an outside area with many featuring balconies of specified ecodek®.
