Cellform HX

Cellvent HX

Cellvent HX combines the benefits of Ventform with the Cellcore HX range. It alleviates the effects of ground heave and provides an excellent gas venting medium. It is designed for use under suitably reinforced ground floor slabs. The depth is dependent upon the amount of ground heave that has been predicted.

Circular Gulley Vent - CGV-022

A range of ground level vent boxes designed to provide a practical and aesthetic method of venting ground gases from beneath a building, to the external atmosphere. The vent boxes are designed to be connected to one of the Cordek passive gas venting systems and installed within the external landscaping. The use of vent boxes is recommended where the use of alternative vent options is precluded due to the type of external wall construction i.e. cladding, glazed façades.

  • Range of lid types, manufactured from either stainless or galvanized steel.
  • Vent box lids available with either perforations or slots to suit project requirements and venting design.

EPS Formwork

A lightweight, versatile material comprising of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) for both permanent and temporary formwork applications.

Filcor EPS

Filcor is available in a range of grades to meet the requirements of BS EN 13163:2012.

Features and benefits:

  • A range of compressive strengths available.
  • Lightweight and easy to handle.
  • Available as standard sheets or blocks.
  • Can be profiled to customer requirements.
  • Provides a high degree of insulation.
  • Flame retardant (FR) properties.

Installation:

The procedure for installing Filcor sheets/ blocks is straightforward but the following points should be adhered to:

  • Filcor should be positioned on a firm level surface, with joints between individual sheets/ blocks, staggered where possible.
  • If the depth of Filcor required exceeds the maximum individual sheet/block depth of 1200 mm, then further layers can be added to achieve the total depth required. It is suggested that each layer is installed perpendicular to the previous one in order to distribute load as equally as possible.
  • Where there is a requirement to cut the Filcor sheets/ blocks, this can be carried out using a fine toothed saw, or alternatively a hot wire cutter: consult manufacturer for hire service details.

Gas Resistant DPC

A polymeric DPC designed for use in applications where combined damp proofing and gas protection is required. The DPC is robust and flexible, performing well under high compressive loads.

Features:

  • Excellent all round physical properties, including resistance to methane, carbon dioxide and radon.
  • Flexible, even at low temperatures.
  • Good mortar adhesion properties.
  • Available in a range of widths to suit a variety of applications and helps to minimize wastage.

Gas Resistant Self Adhesive Membrane

Self-adhesive membrane generally used within foundation construction, predominantly to prevent the transmission of ground gases in both horizontal and vertical applications. It is manufactured using an aluminium/ polythene laminate coated on one surface, with an additional layer of self-adhesive polymer modified bitumen.

Features:

  • Incorporates an aluminium foil core to provide resistance to the passage of methane, carbon dioxide and radon gases.
  • Provides additional waterproofing protection to the structure as part of an overall waterproofing system.
  • Excellent adhesion properties to primed surfaces.
  • Can be installed in both vertical and horizontal applications, above and below ground.

Gas Venting Bollard - 025

Gas venting bollards providing an efficient and economical method of venting ground gases from beneath a building to the atmosphere when connected to a suitable venting system e.g. Cordek Ventform or Cellvent. Vent bollards are usually installed in locations where alternative venting methods, such as air bricks, cannot be used or where a vent with a high level of free air flow is required.

Heaveguard

Heaveguard is a compressible Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), specifically manufactured within a critical density range and used to alleviate the lateral force of ground heave on foundations.

Heaveguard is water resistant and suitable for projects where the foundations are below the water table.

Puraflex DPC

A high performance, hydrocarbon and chemical resistant barrier with exceptional resistance to a wide range of pollutants including hydrocarbons, industrial chemicals, toxic waste, natural and radioactive gases. The DPC is generally used within wall constructions, predominantly to prevent the transmission of VOCs and ground gases into the wall cavities.

Features:

  • Excellent all round physical properties, including resistance to VOCs, hydrocarbons, methane, carbon dioxide and radon.
  • Flexible, even at low temperatures.
  • Good mortar adhesion properties.
  • Can be used in conjunction with the Cordek Puraflex VOC and Puraflex Tank membranes.

Puraflex Tank VOC Membrane

A high performance hydrocarbon and chemical resistant barrier with exceptional resistance to a wide range of pollutants including hydrocarbons, industrial chemicals, toxic waste, natural and radioactive gases. The membrane is generally used within foundation construction, predominantly to prevent the transmission of VOCs and ground gases in both horizontal and vertical applications. It comprises of aprotective polymeric layer and adhesive bitumen layer, either side of a chemical resistant inner core.

Features:

  • Provides additional waterproofing protection to the structure as part of an overall waterproofing system.
  • Robust membrane construction with excellent resistance to both puncturing and tearing.

Puraflex VOC Membrane

A high performance hydrocarbon and chemical resistant barrier with exceptional resistance to a wide range of pollutants including hydrocarbons, industrial chemicals, toxic waste, natural and radioactive gases. The membrane is generally used within construction applications, predominantly within the foundation design. It also acts as a high performance DPM. It comprises of protective polymeric layers either side of a chemical resistant inner core.

Features:

  • Provides additional damp proofing protection to the structure.
  • Robust membrane construction with excellent resistance to both puncturing and tearing.

Radon Membrane

A high performance gas membrane, for use in applications where resistance to radon gas is required as part of either a ‘full’ or ‘basic’ radon protection system. It is generally used within construction applications, predominantly within the foundation design. Can also act as a high performance DPM.

Features:

  • Economical method of providing radon protection to newly constructed buildings.
  • Provides additional damp proofing protection to the structure; no requirement for a separate DPM.
  • Robust membrane with a high resistance to damage and puncturing.

Radon Sump

An extraction point for radon gases beneath buildings within radon affected areas. If a radon sumpis positioned within a permeable granular layer beneath a ground floor slab and subsequently connected to an extract fan, then the penetration of hazardous radon gas into the building is minimized. Cordek also provide a range of additional components including membranes, DPC's and vent outlets to provide a solution to the issues posed by radon gas to new constructions.

Features:

  • Can reduce the risk posed by radon gas by minimizing the pressure beneath the building.
  • Robust polypropylene construction for positioning beneath ground slab constructions.
  • Can be used in conjunction with Cordek Radon Membrane and associated accessories to provide ‘full’ radon protection.
  • Installed during construction for ‘activation’ post construction if required.

Tri-Gas Membrane

A high performance gas membrane for use in situations where resistance to methane, carbon dioxide and/ or radon gases is required. It is generally used within construction applications, predominantly within the foundation design. The multilayer 0.4 mm thick membrane includes an ultralow permeability aluminium foil core encapsulated between a number of additional low density polyethylene (LDPE) layers and a reinforcing grid to form a single sheet membrane.

Features and benefits:

  • Excellent resistance properties with low permeability to ground gases including methane, carbon dioxide and radon.
  • Provides additional damp proofing protection to the structure (no requirement for a separate DPM).
  • Reinforced membrane construction with high resistance to both puncturing and tearing.
  • Complies with relevant industry codes and guidance including CIRIA and BS 8485:2015+A1:2019.

Ventform

Ventform 80 provides an excellent passive gas venting medium for use under suitably reinforced concrete ground floor slabs. When used in combination with perimeter vents and a suitable gas membrane system, it will provide an effective method of protecting structures against the ingress of harmful ground gases.

  • Highly effective venting medium suitable for ground gas affected sites as part of a gas protection system.
  • Provides a high degree of insulation and is manufactured from expanded polystyrene which achieves a BREEAM rating of A+.
  • Range of thicknesses and grades to suit most project requirements.
