ASSA ABLOY revolving door provides sustainable solution to Andaz London Liverpool Street Hotel

The existing 4-wing revolving door was found to be affecting the flow of traffic, due to the restricted compartment space trapping trailing luggage. It was important that the replacement door resolved this issue, whilst being in keeping with the Andaz brand and supporting their focus on sustainable operations. ASSA ABLOY recommended replacing the 4-wing door with a 3-wing model, with an increased diameter, which would comfortably accommodate the hotel’s foot traffic. Automatic Sliding Doors - ASSA ABLOY SL500

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems' expertise in transportation applications made us an ideal partner for the Doncaster Transport Interchange project. In working together with the pro-ject's engineers, automatic sliding door systems were determined to be the optimal solution for the bus depot due their reliability and safety. The clean lines of the ASSA ABLOY sliding doors also complemented other elements of the broader Frenchgate Centre urban renewal project, which includes an integrated train station and car park for visitors to the nearby city center, in addition to the shopping mall.

Hospital - Revolving Door Main Entrance

The hospital needed to ensure good accessibility and create demarcation areas for staff and visitors. We provided various systems including automatic revolving doors and sliding doors, an automatic revolving door with a diameter of 5.4 meters, and various swing door operators for the automation of both wooden single-action doors and fire-resistant doors. We installed swing door operators and sliding door operators which ensure convenient, comfortable and safe access between the departments. In addition to the benefits of comfort and energy-savings, the solution provides safe escape routes and easy access for both able-bodied and disabled people.

Reducing energy use in chilled warehouse

The Brakes Brothers Food Group added a sustainable new-built distribution centre in Glasgow, to their chilled distribution network. The facility is kept at a constant temperature of 4 degrees Celsius, and before settling on a docking solution an investigation into facilitating substantial reductions in energy usage was undertaken. Preventing avoidable energy loss through doors and dock levelers was one of the deciding factors. Estimated savings of 589,000 kwh per year
