Case study
The popular Star pub in Soho had suffered severe penetrating damp in the basement meeting room. To rectify the situation. London Remedial Ltd were contacted to rectify the situation. It was decided that a cavity drain system was the best solution because a cementitious system would require the removal of all paint and the application of a render coat, increasing the duration and cost of the job. To retain the vintage look of the brickwork as much as possible, Oldroyd membrane was drylined, and brick slips applied to the lower portion of the wall. The rest of the archway was finished with plaster.
