Designing with Specialist Kerbs

The use of kerbs within paving design is often taken for granted - or even overlooked. Yet effective use of specialist kerbs can significantly increase safety and ease of use for many users. This CPD looks at how two types of kerb - bus access kerbs and vehicle containment kerbs - can enhance most developments in terms of increasing usage of public transit systems to reduce road congestion and pollution and minimising serious accidents when drivers lose control of their vehicle.
