Thermal enhancing secondary glazing - energy saving for Listed buildings

by Selectaglaze Ltd

An independent secondary glazed window, correctly installed and well-sealed on the inside of the primary widow, will significantly minimise air leakage. It traps an insulating layer of air that can reduce heat loss by up to 50% using standard glass and 65% with low-E glass. U-values of 2.6 can be reached with standard secondary glazing, however if low-E glass is used they can further reduced to 1.8 and even further if enhanced thermal sealed units are used. If you are a landlord; residential or commercial, and have Listed or heritage buildings in your estate, thermal enhancing secondary glazing can help improve EPC ratings and meet MEES regulations. In addition it will also help to reduce energy consumption and bills.
