Security and safety secondary glazing protecting environments and providing duty of care

by Selectaglaze Ltd

Windows are often soft targets for intruders. If subjected to a bomb blast, flying shards of glass will be an extreme hazard. Secondary glazing provides an extra protective barrier; ideal for Listed buildings. Some systems also aid containment;such as laboratories and secure health facilities, or offer protection against fire arms or spread of fire. Units have been tested and are accredited to a number of bodies: SBD PAS24:2016, LPS1175 SR1 SR3, ISO 16933 EXV19 EXV45, EN1522/1523 and BSEN 1363-1, 1364-1. Units are suitable for museums Government Indemnity Scheme, critical national infrastructure, laboratories subject to HSE standards and buildings deemed vulnerable/high risk. The result is safer, more secure environments at home, places of work or public buildings.
