Photocatalytic Difference - Keim Soldalit-ME & Keim Ecosil-ME

by Keim Mineral Paints Ltd

In terms of the paint industry, the effects on air pollution should be considered from the manufacture of the materials i.e. the impact of the production process itself, through to the resultant affects of material application i.e. the release of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). In the presence of Nitrogen Oxides, it is VOC s which, in addition to being respiratory irritants and strong smelling, result in the formation of harmful ground level ozone. The photocatalytic reaction converts Nitrogen Oxides and other harmful pollutants into harmless nitrates. The reaction helps to breakdown organic material and contamination's, keeping surfaces cleaner. Photocatalytic mineral paints use light energy to neutralise pollution.
