A1 non-combustible exterior grade fibre cement direct render carrier board for compatible thin coat render systems.
VERSAREND® is suitable for use as an exterior grade direct render carrier board within compatible thin coat render systems.
It is intended for external wall applications where a fibre cement carrier board is required to support a direct render finish as part of a suitable system build-up.
Typical applications include:
VERSAREND® has been compatibility tested with selected render manufacturers and systems. Suitable as an exterior grade direct render carrier board behind the following render base coats:
K Rend HPX.
K Rend HP12.
K Rend HP14.
Kilsaran KPRO - Superbond.
Kilsaran QP10 Primer.
Kilsaran SR.
Kilsaran SSR.
Parex Maite Basecoat.
PRB Fondisol F Basecoat.
Mapei ARI GG Basecoat.
Licata RasoTop 800 Base.
Licata RasoTop BIO.
Project-specific suitability should be confirmed with the relevant render system manufacturer before specification, procurement or installation.
In all instances, Euroform strongly recommends that the manufacturer of the proposed render system is consulted to check compatibility and any specific product application details.
Where VERSAREND® is being considered for a project, specifiers should review the full system build-up, render compatibility, fixing requirements, substrate, movement, ventilation, cavity requirements, exposure conditions and any relevant project-specific fire, façade or building envelope requirements.
VERSAREND® is an A1 non-combustible exterior grade fibre cement direct render carrier board, designed for use with compatible thin coat render systems in external wall applications.
Manufactured from Ordinary Portland Cement and reinforced with a specialist matrix, VERSAREND® combines the durability and fire performance associated with fibre cement boards with improved workability, handling and installation speed.
The board is manufactured in 12.5 mm thickness and features mesh reinforcing facings, with tapered long edges on the outer face. This supports direct render applications where a stable, robust and workable carrier board is required as part of a tested render system build-up.
VERSAREND® is a lightweight score-and-snap building board, allowing it to be cut using a utility knife and fixed with recommended screws. This helps reduce complexity on site when compared with heavier or harder-to-cut traditional fibre cement boards.
The product has been compatibility tested with a number of thin coat render system base coats, listed under ‘render base coats’ within NBS Specification. This helps architects, specifiers and contractors identify compatible base coat options when developing external render specifications.
VERSAREND® is conformity assessed in accordance with BS EN 12467:2012+A2:2018 Fibre-cement flat sheets and achieves Reaction to Fire Euroclass A1 to BS
BS EN 13501-1:2018.
Key features and benefits include:
VERSAREND® is suitable for project teams looking for an exterior grade fibre cement render carrier board that combines non-combustibility, practical installation and tested compatibility with selected render base coat systems.
