Manufactured PVCu clad glazing bead with hardwood core, bespoke sizes, fire tested for 30 and 60 minute doors, UV stabilised and impact resistant.
Application
Used for fitting around vision panel apertures in fire doors to hold fire glass securely and maintain fire integrity. Also used as a protective beading on non-fire rated doors to replace damaged or missing hardwood timber bolection beading and prevent future damage. Suitable for 30 and 60 minute fire doorsets and non-fire rated doors.
Description
PVC-U clad glazing beads are manufactured using Vinylac, the same material used to produce Yeoman Shield Wall and Door Protection Panels. A Hardwood inner core with PVC-U material formed around the outside, and supplied complete with the relevant fire seals.
Features and benefits:
- Standard thickness for the PVC-U material is 2 mm, although 2.5 mm may also be used.
- Manufactured to order to suit door thickness, glazing, door panels, etc.
- Supplied in either 2.44 m lengths or in a finished unit, complete with relevant fire seals.
- Units are mitred cut, pinned and pre-drilled at maximum 130 mm centres.
- Fire tested to BS EN1634-1:2008 and BS476 Part 22:1987 for 30 and 60 minute fire doors.
- Can be fitted to non-fire rated doors as a protection product to replace damaged or missing hardwood timber bolection beading.
- UV stabilised to reduce fading when exposed to direct sunlight.
- Resistant to impact and abrasion.
- Manufactured in the United Kingdom.
