Premium metal riser door with 2-hour fire rating, Suitable for shaft walls - R51 Range - Riser Door

Premium Riser Door, designed for shaft wall constructions. Features a 1.2 mm thick metal door leaf, 1.5 mm thick metal frame, 25 mm picture frame profile, and powder-coated RAL 9010 finish. Supplied with a spring pin hinge system and three-point locking. Fire-rated for two hours and smoke-tested to BS EN 1634‑3. Single-leaf design with ambient smoke control tested.

Frame fixing:

• Shaftwalls/ metal stud: minimum 6 x 120 mm countersunk self-drilling screws.
• Masonry: minimum 7.5 x 80 mm Spax self-drilling frame anchor screws.
• Fixing holes: 52 mm back from panel face (range 40–65 mm available on request).

Permitted gaps:

• Blockwork/ concrete: 2 x 2 mm (H x W).
• Plasterboard/ shaftwall: 8.5 x 8.5 mm (H x W).

Permitted sealants:

• Mann McGowan Pyromas A.
• Rockwool Fire Pro Intumescent Sealant.
• Fire-tested alternatives to BS EN 1363-1/ BS EN 1634-1 allowed.

Wall types:

• Shaft walls (Knauf Shaftwall with J-channel, deep flange U-channel, CT stud, 100 mm Rocksilk RS60, 3 x 15 mm Fire Panel, 1 x 19 mm Coreboard).
• Plasterboard-clad timber or steel stud partitions.
• Masonry (≥140 mm thick, ≥850 kg/m³).
• Concrete (≥140 mm thick, ≥850 kg/m³).
• Flexible walls: aperture lined with 1–3 layers of 12.5–15 mm Type F plasterboard (EN 520).
• Rigid walls: optional lining with up to three layers of 12.5–15 mm Type F plasterboard.
