Bradstowe House presented a unique opportunity to revitalise a long-derelict structure and transform it into a landmark development within Harrow. Retaining the original concrete frame, Comer Homes reimagined the building with a contemporary façade that reflects both its history and future.Designed by Comer Homes’ in-house architectural team, the building features a striking curved form incorporating glass and steel, creating a distinctive addition to the local skyline.The existing cladding system had become outdated and required ongoing maintenance, prompting the need for a more durable and high-performing solution. The redevelopment introduced a modern aluminium façade alongside curtain walling, significantly improving both thermal performance and long-term reliability compared to the original materials.Finish Facades supplied and delivered approximately 4,100m² of bespoke cassette panels, utilising the Engage Secret Fixed Cassette Rainscreen System.

Bespoke Window fixing and associated Pressed Cills Heads and JambsThe scale and density of the development created demanding technical requirements for window installation and façade detailing. Each apartment required a tailored solution to ensure accurate fit, long-term durability and compliance with high-rise performance standards. Fire and building safety regulations, programme efficiency and the need for reliable weatherproofing were critical considerations, particularly on buildings rising to 35 storeys.In addition, the project needed to balance high-quality design with efficient construction, ensuring that bespoke elements could be delivered at scale without compromising performance or safety.

The project involved the replacement of existing ACM panels with approximately 2,500m² of 3mm solid aluminium panels, providing a more robust, compliant and durable façade solution. The use of solid aluminium supports improved fire performance while ensuring long-term reliability in a high-rise environment.A flat panel rainscreen approach, aligned with Finish Facades’ Viso system, was utilised to deliver a cost-effective and efficient installation. Manufactured in-house, the panels were produced to suit the specific requirements of the building, ensuring a consistent finish across the façade.In addition, bespoke punch art perforated panels were supplied and installed adjacent to window openings. These elements introduce visual interest and variation across the elevation, while maintaining cohesion with the overall façade design.Combining performance-driven materials with bespoke detailing, the scheme delivers a modernised external envelope that enhances both safety and the building’s visual presence.

This prestigious project for Luton Council involved the refurbishment of two 50-year-old residential tower blocks, delivering a modern, thermally efficient façade solution to revitalise the existing buildings.Standing at 15 storeys (approximately 45m), the scheme utilised over 11,000m² of the Engage secret fixed cassette rainscreen system, finished in VitraDual across five bespoke RAL colours. The system was selected for its ability to provide a clean, consistent façade appearance with concealed fixings, while meeting the performance requirements of a high-rise refurbishment.Using our bespoke manufacturing capabilities, custom pressed louvres were integrated directly into the face of the Engage panels to accommodate gas risers. This removed the need for secondary fixings and additional components, offering a more efficient installation process and a streamlined façade finish.

Premier Inn Reclad, HeathrowVISO: Flat Panel Rainscreen SystemThis project formed part of a wider ambition to deliver a refreshed and consistent identity across the Premier Inn brand, with a £1.5 million façade reclad at the Heathrow site.The scheme involved the replacement of existing ACM panels with approximately 2,500m² of 3mm solid aluminium panels, improving both fire performance and long-term durability of the external envelope.The Viso flat panel rainscreen system was selected for its cost-effective approach to façade performance, offering a robust, compliant solution without unnecessary complexity. Manufactured in-house, the system provides CWCT-tested performance and achieves A1 and A2-s1, d0 fire classifications in accordance with EN 13501-1, ensuring confidence in reaction to fire.Designed as a rivet-fixed system, Viso delivers a straightforward installation process while maintaining the benefits of a ventilated rainscreen, helping to manage moisture and enhance the thermal performance of the building.Through bespoke manufacturing, panels were produced to suit the specific requirements of the project, ensuring efficient installation and a consistent, high-quality finish aligned with Premier Inn’s updated visual identity.

The development takes its name from the original Smithfield bottle works, acknowledging the site’s industrial past while supporting its transformation into a modern commercial hub.Finish Facades supplied bespoke punch art perforated panels, manufactured from 3mm aluminium and installed adjacent to the window openings across the façade. These panels were designed to introduce visual interest while maintaining consistency with the wider architectural scheme.Manufactured in-house, the panels were produced to precise project requirements, ensuring accurate perforation patterns and a high-quality finish throughout. The use of solid aluminium provides long-term durability, low maintenance, and reliable performance within the external envelope.The integration of perforated detailing adds depth to the façade while supporting the overall design intent of the development, contributing to a distinctive and contemporary building within Stoke-on-Trent’s evolving city centre.
