A range of pre-tested Class A acoustic wood panels (to EN ISO 11654:1997) that can be easily applied to any surface to create beautiful wood ceilings and timber slatted wall finishes for large commercial projects, with BCL's full range of design flexibility and complete BIM Level 4 service, including project specific fire testing, integrated M&E services and direct installation service by BCL.
Available in BCL's full range of varies solid wood timber species and beautiful anti-viral acoustic fabrics, Alpha Panels can offer increased acoustic performance assurance for key sound sensitive spaces requiring extra levels of absorption, or where acoustic strategies call for Class A performance within any internal space.

This case study gives an overview of the BCL acoustical bamboo panel system installed at Building 85, Southampton University. This project is the first major UK project to use BCL’s BAMBOO acoustic panel system. The acoustical wall panels, rated as Class C, were installed using BCL’s proprietary secret-fixing system. The secret-fixing panels, manufactured in Western Red Cedar are designed to minimise waste and installation time, whilst increase quality control. Building 85 is the first major UK project to employ BCL’s UV resistant timber panel system, allowing the external facades to retain the natural beauty of wood, without weathering or silvering.
