Application

For use as an unbonded cementitious flooring system in internal environments requiring a smooth, stable substrate for the installation of floor finishes.

Suitable for application over concrete and existing substrates where bonded construction is not appropriate, incorporating a separation layer to isolate the screed from the substrate.

Substrates shall be structurally sound and capable of supporting the unbonded system, with defects such as cracking, voids or instability suitably repaired to provide a stable base.

Typical applications include renovation and new-build projects requiring controlled build-up and compatibility with a wide range of floor finishes.

Not suitable for external use or as a final wearing surface.

Description

Fibre‑reinforced unbonded cementitious flooring system designed to provide a smooth, level and stable substrate for floor finishes, typically capable of achieving SR1 surface regularity.

Installed over a suitable separation layer, the system isolates the screed from the substrate and incorporates reinforcement to control shrinkage and minimise cracking. It is suitable where bonded construction is not appropriate and can be applied within a typical thickness range of 5–50 mm, subject to design requirements.

The system provides good dimensional stability and rapid strength development, allowing early foot traffic and timely installation of floor finishes, including moisture-sensitive coverings.

The finished surface is not intended to be left exposed and shall receive a suitable floor covering. For internal use only.

Guidance for specification option:

weberfloor 4945 glass fibre mesh.

  • The weber.floor 4945 glass fibre net is used as reinforcement for weber's floor screeds. The net is normally used on weak substrates or in case the screed is laid nonbonded or when otherwise specified in weber's Floor construction solution.
  • Glass fibre net with alkaline resistant impregnation.
  • Mesh width 10 x 10 mm.

Screed

Fibre-reinforced levelling screed mixes.

Guidance for specification option:

weberfloor fibre rapid 4320.

  • A rapid drying, self-smoothing base and renovation screed.
  • Fibre modified for added durability.
  • Pump or hand applied, rapid drying, self-smoothing, fibre-reinforced base or renovation screed for floors, with Low Dust TechnologyTM, which gives a strong base layer for receiving tiles or a thin topping screed.
  • The product is formulated from special cements, aggregates and chemical admixtures.
