Description

The Semi Vertical Cycle Rack is a space-efficient, high-density cycle parking solution designed for commercial, residential, and public sector developments where maximising the number of cycle spaces within a constrained footprint is a specification requirement. Manufactured in Britain from hot-dipped galvanised mild steel to BS EN ISO 1461:2011, it stores bicycles at an angled, semi-vertical position that reduces the horizontal floor area required per space compared to traditional flat racks, while avoiding the physical effort of lifting associated with full vertical or two tier systems. It is supplied complete with integrated high-security locking hoops and all fixtures and fittings required for installation.

How It Works

The semi-vertical format angles bicycles upward at approximately 45 degrees, keeping both wheels closer to the ground than a fully vertical rack while significantly reducing the footprint per space compared to a horizontal floor-standing system. For developments with a significant or growing proportion of e-bike storage requirements, the dedicated Semi Vertical E-Bike Rack is engineered to accommodate the increased weight and frame profiles of electric bicycles, with integrated 240V charging sockets and staggered rack heights for improved accessibility. A minimum ceiling height of 2.2m is required for the e-bike variant, making it well-suited to basement car parks and covered cycle compounds.

Integration with Shelters and Enclosures

The Semi Vertical Cycle Rack is compatible with all major bike shelters, bike enclosures, and security mesh partitioning systems within BSC's range. It is a frequent internal racking choice for the Amazon Eco shelter range and a popular alternative to two tier racking on schemes where lifting is not appropriate for the user base. CAD drawings and layout plans are available on request. All Semi Vertical Cycle Racks are British-made and backed by a 10-year manufacturing defects warranty.
