PhotonFrame-A1 - A1 Fire Rated Breathable Multi Foil

PhotonFrame-A1 is an A1 non-combustible, breathable reflective multifoil insulation designed for installation on the cold side of insulated wall constructions.

Developed particularly for timber frame construction, PhotonFrame-A1 is also suitable for light steel frame (SFS), modular and offsite construction, and other external wall constructions where thermal performance, vapour permeability and reaction to fire are important specification requirements.

Its highly vapour-permeable construction allows water vapour to migrate towards the outside of the building whilst providing additional thermal performance from a thin reflective insulation layer.

PhotonFrame-A1 is an A1 non-combustible, highly vapour-permeable reflective multifoil insulation designed for installation on the cold side of insulated wall constructions.

Classified A1 for reaction to fire to BS EN 13501-1, PhotonFrame-A1 combines a high-density glass mineral wool core with micro-perforated, low-emissivity reflective aluminium outer layers.

The micro-perforated construction provides high vapour permeability, with an Sd value of 0.072 m, allowing water vapour to migrate through the product towards the outside of the building and helping to manage moisture within the external wall construction.

The low-emissivity reflective surfaces reduce radiant heat transfer and provide a thermal resistance of 2.35 m²K/W when installed with two appropriate air cavities.

PhotonFrame-A1 is particularly suited to timber frame, light steel frame (SFS), modular and offsite construction where additional thermal performance is required on the cold side of the frame without introducing a high-resistance vapour control layer.
