Application

Designed to provide secure inspection and maintenance access to concealed building services within plasterboard walls and ceilings. The 25 mm beaded frame is designed for tape and jointing or skim coat plaster finishes, creating a flush, unobtrusive appearance, while the patented FlipFix fixing device enables rapid installation directly into plasterboard without additional framing.

The FlipFix Metal Access Panel is a dual-purpose steel access panel designed to provide secure and convenient access to concealed building services within plasterboard walls and ceilings. Featuring a 25 mm beaded frame, the panel is designed for tape and jointing or skim coat plaster finishes, creating a neat, flush appearance that blends seamlessly with surrounding wall or ceiling surfaces.

The panel incorporates the patented FlipFix fixing device, enabling rapid installation directly into plasterboard without the need for additional timber framing, making it ideal for both new-build and refurbishment projects. Manufactured from high-quality Zintec steel, the panel features a metal-faced door and is supplied with a flush budget lock as standard, with alternative locking options available to suit project requirements.

Finished in a durable RAL 9010 (30% gloss) polyester powder coating as standard, the FlipFix range is available in standard and bespoke sizes, with alternative RAL colours available on request.

Installation

Designed for installation into plasterboard wall and ceiling systems to provide access to concealed building services.

Prepare the structural opening in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions.
Insert the panel and secure directly to the plasterboard using the patented FlipFix fixing device without additional framing.
Ensure the frame is installed square and level before applying tape and jointing compound or skim coat plaster.
For fire-rated models, install in accordance with the manufacturer's fire test evidence and installation guidance.
