Fixsafe is Filon’s replacement rooflight and roof sheet system for profiled fragile roofs to enable an existing rooflight or roof sheet to be removed and replaced without stepping onto the roof.

Application

Used for safe replacement of damaged profiled roof sheets and rooflights from below fragile roofs, eliminating the need for access to the roof surface and reducing risk to workers.

Description

The Fixsafe System comprises of specific GRP replacement sheets to match all asbestos and fibre cement profiles and many metal profile roof sheets. Supplied with patented Fixsafe fixings to allow installation to be carried out entirely from below.

Features and benefits:

Fixsafe is designed for repair and refurbishment projects where external roof access is unsafe, impractical or disruptive.
Removes risks associated with accessing fragile roofs.
Meets relevant UK Building Regulations for fire safety when appropriate grade is selected. Tested to BS EN 13501 Part 5, BS 2782-0 Annex B Method 508A, and BS 476 Parts 3, 6, and 7.
Filon CEDR24E (double reinforced) GRP is the standard weather sheet, consisting of a standard chopped strand glass matt and a stitch woven glass reinforcement layer.
Complies with Regulation 9 of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and HSE guidance on fragile roofs.
Unique fixing method allows replacement from the underside of the roof.
Fixsafe has hook design options to suit a variety of purlin types.
Economical by saving time and reducing access equipment costs.
