Application
Designed to provide fire-rated access to concealed building services within compartment walls, service risers and utility cupboards while maintaining the fire and smoke performance of the wall construction. Tested to provide up to 120 minutes fire resistance from both sides, making it suitable for applications where dual-sided fire protection is required.

The R51 Fire-Rated Metal Riser Door is a high-performance steel access panel designed to provide secure access to concealed building services while maintaining the fire integrity of compartment walls. Independently tested to provide up to 120 minutes fire resistance from both sides, it is ideal for service risers, utility cupboards and concealed service shafts in residential, commercial and public sector buildings.
Manufactured from high-quality Zintec steel, the R51 range features a flush metal door with a 25 mm beaded frame, allowing the frame to be skim coated for a seamless plastered wall finish. A three-point locking system is fitted as standard to provide secure closure, with alternative locking options available to suit project requirements.
The panel is supplied in a durable RAL 9010 (30% gloss) polyester powder-coated finish as standard, with alternative RAL colours available on request.
The R51 range has been tested in accordance with BS EN 1634-1:2014 + A1:2018, providing up to 120 minutes fire integrity from both faces in wall applications. Smoke performance has also been tested in accordance with BS EN 1634-3:2004, making the panel suitable for projects where both fire compartmentation and smoke control are required.
Ideal for providing secure access to concealed pipework, ductwork, valves, electrical services and other building services within fire-rated wall constructions.

Installation
Designed for installation within fire-rated plasterboard and masonry wall systems to provide secure access to concealed building services while maintaining compartmentation.
- Prepare the structural opening in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions.
- Install the frame before applying the final skim coat to achieve a flush plaster finish.
- Secure using suitable mechanical fixings appropriate to the wall construction.
- Install in accordance with the manufacturer's guidance and the relevant fire test evidence to achieve the certified fire and smoke performance.
