Armourcoat® Decorative Paint Perlata

Hygienic wall coating suitable for:

• Seamless internal application to walls, columns, and ceilings.
• Well ventilated areas exposed to moisture, but not suitable as a waterproof finish.
• Application directly to any stable, firm substrate that is ready for decoration. Block, brick or concrete should be gypsum bonded, gypsum skimmed, then sealed. Plasterboard or GRG should be taped, gypsum skimmed and sealed. 18mm MR MDF should be prepared with a suitable water-based paint primer/sealer on all faces.
• Existing painted walls and ceilings provided the paint is well-adhered to the substrate.

• Available on pre-manufactured, ready to hang panels.

Materials and number of coats:

• System build-up comprising three-four coats (approximate total 0.5mm).

Perlata is a luxurious decorative paint with unique surface movement and a subtle shimmer.

It is a durable, hygienic water-based coating with zero VOCs for use on walls and ceilings. It is cleanable, antibacterial and mould & mildew resistant, making it ideal for use in high moisture areas such as swimming pools.

It is also available with an optional transparent protective sealer for additional abrasion resistance.

Product attributes:

• Zero VOC content: ISO 11890-2: <1 g/L
• Fire rated to BS 476: Class 0 (one coat BaseColor, two coats Perlata).
• Fire rated to ASTM E84: Class A (one coat BaseColor, two coats Perlata, one coat Clearseal Gloss).
• Highly wet scrub resistant: ASTM D 2486: 1075 cycles (without Clearseal Gloss), 1925 cycles (with Clearseal Gloss).
• Resistant to mould and mildew: ASTM D 3273 and ASTM D 3274: 10/ 10/ 10.
• Resistant to fungal and algal growth
• Anti-bacterial: tested to JIS Z 2801 for E. coli, MRSA and salmonella.
• Excellent stain resistance (tested to ASTM D1308).
• Low embodied carbon: 0.19 kg CO2e/m2 (A1-A3).
• Wide range of 96 colours.
• Suitable for use in bathrooms and swimming pools.
