Application

Product Application – Airtight White Brush

The Airtight White Brush is applied with a standard brush in one or two coats, depending on the detail. Once cured, it forms a strong, seamless airtight barrier ideal for sealing complex junctions and penetrations.

Directions for Use

Preparation
- Remove dust, grease, loose material, and standing water.
- Ensure substrates are clean, sound, and closed.
- Fill large gaps or holes with a suitable cement-based filler or polyurethane foam before application.
Application
- Apply directly with a brush, working into corners, joints, and penetrations.
- For larger gaps or where reinforcement is required, apply two coats.
- Allow the first coat to dry before applying the second.
Conditions
- Apply only when the substrate and ambient temperature are above 5°C.
- Application is permitted on slightly humid surfaces, but remove any standing water.
Aftercare
- Clean tools with water immediately after use.
- Once cured, the coating provides long-term airtight detailing protection.

Description

Seal the junctions tapes cannot. Airtight White Brush is a fibre reinforced polymer emulsion, applied by paintbrush, that creates a permanent liquid airtight vapour control membrane with a smooth white finish - ideal for retrofits, detailing and areas where the airtight layer stays on show.

Specify with confidence. BBA certified and Passivhaus certified, M1 indoor emissions class, water based and VOC free, with Fire Class C reaction to fire compared with Class E for many traditional membranes. In airtightness testing it achieves 0.03 ACH, far beyond the 0.6 ACH Passivhaus requirement.

Bonds permanently to concrete, brick, timber, plasterboard, OSB and steel, even on damp surfaces. Use it on floor, wall and ceiling junctions, window and door reveals, connection joints, slab connections and service penetrations. Coverage is 1kg per m2 and one operative can apply up to 300m2 per day. Supplied as a 6.9kg Home Pack.
