Urban Playground

Urban Playground is a multi-million pound entertainment venue in the heart of Manchester Arndale, bringing an exciting attraction to the city’s shopping centre.

The two-storey complex features The Cube Live – an experience that is the first of its kind in the UK where fans of the popular game show can take part in its iconic challenges and boasts a “tech-infused” mini golf course, restaurant, and bars.

With expectations of high footfall, Urban Playground were looking for a washroom solution that is in keeping with the high-spec surroundings of the venue whilst also being practical and durable enough to withstand high levels of use.

Concept Washroom (Concept Cubicle Systems) were approached by Momentum Group to carry out the design, supply and installation of all male and female toilet cubicles, wash troughs and integrated duct panel systems.

By selecting our Reflect cubicle system, the brushed satin stainless steel pilasters offer a polished, ultra-modern finish, complementing the deep, rich tones of the red (Rouge Cerise R036) cubicle doors and black (Noir N005) partitions. Both are manufactured from scratch-resistant High Pressure Laminate.

All sloped wash troughs have a partial gap for concealed waste and are made from seamless Durasein Solid Surface (Night Sky PM276) that subtly stands out in contrast to the black (Noir N005) under panels.

The result is a sleek and stylish washroom solution that is in keeping with the cutting-edge design of Urban Playground, whilst also being long lasting and durable enough to withstand everyday use from their guests.
