General purpose primer.
SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE
For internal absorbent surfaces add 1 part of STOPGAP P131 to 4 parts of clean cold water and stir until thoroughly dispersed.
On particularly absorbent surfaces, a further application of STOPGAP P131 may be necessary to reduce the formation of pinholes.
For internal non-absorbent surfaces, apply the primer neat.
For use externally with STOPGAP 850 or when used on damp surfaces, in conjunction with STOPGAP 114 liquid, STOPGAP 1200 or STOPGAP 1500, under STOPGAP waterproof surface membranes, add 1 part of STOPGAP P131 to 7 parts clean water onto lightly textured concrete and sand/cement screeds.
Apply STOPGAP P131 evenly to the whole surface to be treated and allow it to dry completely, ensuring a uniform film.
STOPGAP P131 is a general purpose primer designed to promote the adhesion and application characteristics of STOPGAP smoothing compounds to smooth absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces. It is suitable for use over underfloor heating and is coloured green for visual control
of coverage uniformity.
STOPGAP P131 is coloured green to provide the user with visual control of coverage uniformity. STOPGAP P131 should be used on non-absorbent surfaces of STOPGAP epoxy waterproof surface membranes, terrazzo, power floated concrete, quarry and ceramic tiles, sound asphalt, epoxy marine primers, well bonded epoxy and polyurethane coatings and minimal existing adhesive residue. It should also be used on absorbent surfaces such as concrete, sand/cement screeds, plywood, hardboard and chipboard.
