Devonshires is a leading UK law firm, known for its progressive approach and collaborative working environments. As part of a wider office fit-out, design studio Design Tonic was tasked with creating a space that could adapt to the firm’s evolving needs—balancing openness with the ability to create private, focused areas when required.To support this vision, Movawall was approached by Design Tonic to deliver a flexible partitioning solution within a key meeting space.The requirement was to maximise the usability of a primary meeting room—allowing it to function as a single, larger space for group sessions, while also enabling it to be divided into two smaller rooms for simultaneous meetings.Acoustic performance, ease of operation, and a refined, design-led finish were all critical to the scheme. As a result, Movawall supplied and installed a Type 100 movable wall system, providing a robust and highly adaptable partitioning solution.

This recent Type 100M installation at Longwater, perfectly demonstrates the unique properties a movable wall can offer. Working closely with Tate Hindle Architects and BAM Construction we were able meet and exceed their expectations. Oxford Properties now have a conferencing facility with complete flexibility and the ability to cater for multiple clients of various sizes.

Located within Salesforce Tower, one of London’s most recognisable commercial buildings, this project called for a refined and highly functional workspace solution within a premium office environment. Workplace specialists OAC SPACE approached Movawall to support the delivery of a flexible meeting space capable of adapting to changing daily requirements.The solution needed to deliver strong acoustic separation, smooth operation, and a clean, architectural finish in keeping with the high-spec interior.Movawall supplied and installed a Type 100 movable wall system, designed to provide both flexibility and performance. The system enables the space to be quickly reconfigured—transforming one large meeting room into two smaller, fully functional rooms. When not in use, the panels stack neatly away, maintaining the openness and visual continuity of the space.For this installation, panels were finished in a high-pressure laminate (HPL), providing a durable, low-maintenance surface suited to high-traffic environments. The clean, uniform finish complements the surrounding interior architecture, ensuring the system integrates seamlessly into the overall design scheme.

Our Type 100E Fully Electric movable wall was installed here a few years ago. This fully automatic system allows for ease of use and gives the client the ability to open or divide the lecture theatre in minutes with the touch of a button. With an acoustic rating of Rw 58dB, both sides of the theatre can have full AV lectures without disturbance. Each panel is hand crafted to millimetre precision to match every step and riser, then fabric wrapped in sound absorbing acoustic panels and installed by our own highly qualified technicians. There are walls, but there’s only one Movawall.

A major financial services firm in Central London required a highly flexible meeting room solution capable of adapting to changing workplace demands while maintaining exceptional acoustic privacy throughout the space. Working alongside Overbury, Movawall delivered five Type 100SE semi-automatic movable wall systems across the fourth floor of the building, allowing staff tocreate a suite of six meeting rooms when required.The systems provide the flexibility to rapidly transform the workspace — functioning as individual meeting rooms for focused discussions or opening into larger collaborative environments as required. Each movable wall has been carefully integrated into the architecture, with panels stacking neatly into concealed storage bays hidden within the surrounding wall construction when not in use. The semi-automatic operation of the Type 100SE system further enhances usability, allowing staff to reconfigure the space quickly and efficiently while maintaining consistent acoustic sealing and exceptional sound performance across each opening.Acoustic performance was a critical requirement for the project. The Type 100SE system was selected due to its market-leading sound reduction capabilities, helping minimise sound transfer between spaces and ensuring confidential conversations can take place without disruption from neighbouring rooms.To complement the wider interior scheme, panel frames were finished in a deep blue to match the surrounding timber panelling applied to the fixed walls within the space, while the panel faces were finished in Maharam Tek-Wall Brook fabric in the “Eloquent” colourway, introducing a subtle texture and refined contemporary aesthetic.

One of our latest projects which has been installed and tested has made us particularly proud and set a new standard in acoustic movable walls.The requirements on this project were clear and simple with very specific needs for one of the leading pharmaceutical companies and we were going to tackle it head on. A movable acoustic wall with radiation protection for a research and testing environment needing to maximise flexibility while still offering the safety and protection required in a radiology environment.Our Type 100SE semi-electrically operated movable wall was developed and tailor-made for this requirement; with X-Ray protection and specialised seals to ensure the ground-breaking radiation protection and acoustic levels would be achieved. Each wall weighed in the region of circa 6 tons and the top hung system was fitted with our Type “K“ track which allows for remote and varied stacking locations. The walls varied in width and height but were all finished in Rigato Formica laminate with aluminium protective edge trims. The vision panels in the pass doors were fitted with Med-X type single glazed glass between two layers of 4mm thick toughened glass.

Movawall Systems Ltd have recently worked closely with the team at the QEII Conference Centre in Westminster to launch five completely refurbished spaces with both Type 100SE and Type G100 walls.

Movawall was appointed by refurbishment and maintenance specialists Sykes & Son Ltd to support the transformation of a contemporary workplace on Chiswell Street in the London Borough of Islington.The project combined adaptable meeting spaces with enhanced acoustic comfort throughout the wider open-plan office. To achieve this, Movawall supplied and installed a Type 200 sliding folding partition system alongside a series of Comfort Fabric Wall Panels integrated within breakout and collaborative areas.Installed to divide a dedicated meeting room from the surrounding workplace, the Type 200 system provides staff with a highly flexible space that can quickly adapt to changing day-to-day requirements. The continuously hinged sliding folding partition allows the meeting area to operate as a private enclosed room or open seamlessly into the wider office environment when greater collaboration or capacity is required. The system also delivers sound reduction of up to Rw 52dB, helping to maintain privacy and reduce disruption between adjacent spaces.Finished in a clean, contemporary style that complements the wider interior design, the movable wall integrates naturally within the office architecture while maintaining ease of operation and efficient stacking when opened.Alongside the flexible partitioning solution, Movawall’s Comfort Fabric Wall Panels were installed within open-plan breakout and touchdown areas to improve acoustic comfort throughout the workplace. Finished in a green fabric, the panels introduce both visual warmth and effective sound absorption, helping to reduce reverberation and create calmer, more comfortable shared environments for staff and visitors alike.The completed project successfully balances flexibility, acoustic performance, and contemporary workplace design — creating an environment that supports focused working, collaboration, and day-to-day adaptability across the office interior.

Fasanara Capital is a global investment manager recognised for its technology-driven approach and modern workplace environment. As part of a wider office fit-out project, workplace design specialists Arke Creative sought a flexible partitioning solution capable of supporting multiple styles of meeting and collaboration.Movawall was approached to deliver a movable wall system that would integrate seamlessly into the contemporary office interior while providing practical day-to-day flexibility. The requirement was to create a meeting space that could operate either as two independent rooms or as one larger combined environment when needed.Acoustic separation, ease of operation, and a clean architectural appearance were central to the specification, ensuring the system complemented the wider workplace aesthetic without compromising functionality.Movawall supplied and installed a Type 200 movable wall system comprising five panels. The system allows the two meeting rooms to be separated quickly and efficiently while also enabling the space to be opened up into a larger collaborative environment when required. The panels were completed in a standard white finish, providing a clean and understated appearance that integrates effortlessly into the surrounding interior design.

Menzies LLP required a meeting space solution for its London HQ office that would provide privacy and acoustic separation while maintaining the openness and natural light of the wider workplace environment.As part of the office fit-out project, workplace specialists 3-Space (UK) Ltd approached Movawall to deliver a glazed movable wall solution that aligned with the contemporary architectural design of the space. The objective was to create a flexible meeting room positioned along the perimeter of the open-plan office, allowing the space to remain visually connected to the surrounding workplace while still providing a dedicated environment for meetings and collaboration.The system needed to maximise light flow throughout the office, complement the modern interior aesthetic, and deliver a refined, high-end appearance consistent with the wider fit-out.Movawall supplied and installed a Type G100 glazed movable wall system, designed to combine flexibility, transparency, and acoustic performance within contemporary workplace environments. The system creates a defined meeting room space while preserving visual openness between the perimeter room and the adjacent open-plan office.The glazed panels allow natural light to travel freely throughout the workspace, helping maintain a bright and connected environment while still providing practical separation when required. The installation features a sleek black framed glazed finish, providing strong architectural definition and complementing the contemporary material palette used throughout the office interior.

Based in Somerset, Taunton School was founded all the way back in 1847. While the building’s stunning exterior has been immaculately preserved in the years since, the interior has of course been routinely upgraded during that time in order to support the ever-evolving demands of educational environments – including the recent installation of our Type G100 movable wall system.Type G100 is a glazed partition system that provides effective protection again sound transfer when fully closed, achieving up to Rw 54dB. This particular system is comprised of 10 panels, with half being glass and the other half sporting a solid matte black finish – all housed within a sleek black painted aluminium frame.Thanks to the Type G100, the school’s cafeteria layout can changed within minutes, offering the choice between a large open plan space, or a pair of smaller rooms. A fully solid system would not allow for the transfer of natural light to the smaller of the two spaces created when the system is in use, however the glazed panels mean this is not an issue. A pass door also allows for access between the smaller spaces when the panels are being used.

With views overlooking central Manchester from several floors up, the designers for this workspace have utilised glazed partitions throughout to maximise the transfer of light and make the most of the stunning backdrop offered by the city skyline.London Wall was approached to provide a glass moving wall system that could seamlessly integrate in to the overall design of the space by matching the proposed glass partitions, while offering space flexibility.Our Type G200 system was the perfect choice, with a crittal effect indention to the static panels on show elsewhere within the space. The glazed panels can quickly and easily be stacked, allowing staff the choice between a single, large open plan space or two smaller spaces.When the panels are in use, the two spaces both remain easily accessible thanks to a lockable pass door. Type G200’s impressive acoustic performance ensures that sound transfer between the two spaces is kept to a minimum, therefore reducing noise distraction and increasing privacy.

Kroll (previously Duff & Phelps) operate within the risk and financial advisory sector, with UK offices based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter for which we had the pleasure of providing a Type G200 folding partition system during a recent refurbishment. The operable wall allows the space to be transformed from a large open plan area into two separate rooms as and when required.The Type G200 system offers impressive acoustic, achieving up to Rw 47dB when fully closed – minimising noise transfer between the two spaces, without compromising on light transfer. In this instance, a fully glazed, full height pass door allows for easy access between the two smaller rooms when the system is in use.

Having outgrown their previous offices, Smoove – a company operating in the property sector (formerly ULS) – took the decision to take on three floors at Masters Court; a fully refurbished office building in the quaint town of Thame, Oxfordshire. They swiftly appointed HNB and Leap Architects to deliver an overhaul of the dated interior that would better suit the Smoove team.We were approached to deliver a glass moving wall capable of separating the ground floor kitchen and main open plan space when required. Our Type G200 system was chosen, which provides transfer of natural light when partition is closed while simultaneously stopping the transfer of noise.The minimalist manifestations applied to the glazed panels along with their black painted frames have been designed to match a number of fixed glass partitions within the space, offering a consistent design throughout.

Working alongside fit-out specialist ICON Projects, Movawall supplied and installed two glazed movable wall systems as part of the creation of Yorkshire Housing’s new workplace hub in Leeds.Delivered within The Place, Yorkshire Housing’s flagship cultural hub, the project was designed to support the organisation’s innovative “Hub, Home, Roam” approach to flexible working. The new environment provides colleagues with a variety of spaces for collaboration, meetings and focused work, ensuring the workplace can adapt to the changing needs of teams throughout the day.The requirement was to create a large, open collaboration space centred around a presentation area featuring a large display screen, whilst also providing the ability to separate the space when greater privacy or simultaneous activities were required. Maintaining a bright, open atmosphere throughout the workplace was a key consideration.To achieve this, Movawall installed a pair of Type G200 glazed movable wall systems complete with integrated pass doors. When closed, the walls create a dedicated meeting and presentation space, separating it from the adjacent open-plan environment featuring booths, collaborative workspaces, tables and a kitchenette. When opened, the panels fold neatly away, creating a larger multifunctional area capable of accommodating workshops, presentations, team events and collaborative sessions.The fully glazed design preserves sightlines across the workplace and allows natural light to flow throughout the interior, ensuring the space remains bright and connected even when divided. Integrated pass doors provide convenient day-to-day access, while the flexibility of the Type G200 systems allows Yorkshire Housing to adapt the environment quickly to suit different activities and ways of working.The completed installation delivers the versatility required for a modern hybrid workplace, providing Yorkshire Housing with a space that can effortlessly transition between open collaboration and private meeting environments while maintaining the contemporary aesthetic envisioned by ICON Projects.

Student Loans Company (SLC) are a non-profit making government-owned organisation that administers loans and grants to students in colleges and universities in the UK. Since 2008, one of SLC’s main offices has been located in the North Eastern town of Darlington at The Memphis Building.What was once part of a wool factory is now a leading open plan workspace for hundreds of staff. Over the last fifteen years, the interior has undergone a number of major changes to accommodate the SLC team’s ever changing needs – including the design, manufacture and installation of multiple Glide moving panel systems we delivered in 2021.SLC wanted to implement a solution that would allow them to re-configure the large, open plan and create smaller more private areas for staff when required. All panels are top-hung, meaning there is no obtrusive floor track. Despite this, each individual panel can be locked in to position thanks a foot-operated compression bolt.Half of the panels are equipped with a drywipe surface which allows for extra writing space during team meetings, presentations, brainstorming sessions and more.The other half of the panels feature PET polyester, which incorporates custom cut-out shapes in a variety of colours. In addition to providing a uniquely textured finish, the PET panels offer protection from noise distraction thanks to the material being sound absorbent.The aluminium panel frames – which have been painted to match the PET finishes on show – ensure durability, increasing the system’s lifespan.
