Description
The Troldtekt series’ two-layer acoustic panel, Troldtekt Plus, consists of a classic Troldtekt panel with a backing layer of sealed mineral wool.
The backing layer is cut to size and set back from the edges of the panel so that it fits between profiles or wood battens. Troldtekt Plus enables the acoustic ceiling and backing layer to be installed in one and the same workflow, saving construction time. Troldtekt Plus acoustic panels are ideal for the refurbishment of existing ceilings and for suspended and floating acoustic clouds.
The Troldtekt Plus solution saves space and, with dimensions down to 47 mm thick, it can achieve almost the same sound absorption properties as with a suspended Troldtekt ceiling and a separate layer of mineral wool, but with a lower fitting height.

Standards/ approvals:
- In terms of reaction to fire, Troldtekt acoustic panels have been tested in accordance with BS 476 and are “Class O” as designated in the British Building Regulations and have a Class 1 Spread of Flame classification.
- Troldtekt products are CE marked.
- Troldtekt is certified to the best indoor climate categories by the Danish Indoor Climate Labelling (Dansk Indeklima Mærkning).

Manufactured from certified “Gold” Cradle to Cradle wood wool, the substances which are used to make Troldtekt acoustic panels are well-defined. An independent assessor has analysed Troldtekt cement-bonded wood wool in detail (100 ppm), and we therefore have documentation that Troldtekt production waste can safely be returned to the natural cycle as a soil improver.
The cement in Troldtekt panels has a high lime content, which helps to neutralise the acids produced during composting. The wood in the panels is an organic material, and helps to prevent compost from compacting. This increases oxygenation in the composting process so that carbon and nutrients are recirculated.
