The Daikin Applied Standard range covers air flow rates from 1,100 m3/h up to 124,000 m3/h, with the option to choose the most appropriate transverse velocity, depending on the treatment required.In addition, with the same air flow, the cross section (width x height) can be adapted to the dimensional constraints of the installation.

All sizes are modular in construction to facilitate transport and easy assembly on site. With the absence of any welding points the AHU’s, on request, can be supplied completely dismantled to allow assembly directly on site.

All units are developed by paying special attention to energy efficiency. Exchange surfaces, motor efficiency, filtration, insulation, friction reduction and pressure drop in the air flow inside the AHU are considered in design development. All of this provides a product ready to be easily inserted in the system and capable of contributing to overall energy savings.

Fully compliant with the new ECO-Design Lot6 requirement EU1253-2014.

Daikin Applied AHU range covers air flow rates from 1,100 m3/h up to 124,000 m3/h with, the option to choose the most appropriate transverse velocity, depending on the treatment required.

AHU’s for medical facilities have high specification, ensuring units can be cleaned, maintained and failure resistant. Systems are designed for easy maintenance and access to each section enabling the unit and filters to be cleaned and the AHU’s have good visual inspection.

Internal component materials used will prevent legionnaire’s disease developing, such as, copper fin coils & stainless steel drip trays that do not ‘pool’.

Critical units will have either a run and standby fan/motor in case of failure; specialist theatres can have a complete standby unit.

Units are generally designed under positive pressure, so no contaminants from the plant area are drawn into the unit.

Eurovent certified & compliant with HTM03-01 (Health Technical Memorandum specialising in ventilation within health care premises).

Daikin Applied’s Modular series come in pre-defined sizes and are available as indoor or outdoor versions. This means that modular systems can be designed and installed in a variety of applications.

With an operating range of -25°C (-40°C with electric heaters) to +43°C, they are suitable for any European climate. Our air handling units are wired at the factory and are also pre-commissioned, with each unit’s software tuned and the set points already established.

On site, all that is required is to plug the system into the power supply, connect any pipes and wires, and switch the unit on. 

Features such as Constant Air Flow (CAV) or Pressure control (VAV), economy mode, night time operation and time scheduling all deliver considerable overall savings. 

Like all our air handling units, the Modular series are compatible with all common heating and cooling equipment. They are extremely user-friendly due to their full compatibility with ITM and all other Daikin Applied equipment.

Advance and Advance Plus Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery Unit

Advance has been developed to meet the above demands, providing controlled ventilation for a healthy and comfortable indoor climate in full compliance with current building regulations, while retaining the heat to an efficiency of up to 90%.

Advance is suitable for dwellings with up to 115 m2 of floor space and five wet rooms. It's so efficient that its specific fan power (SFP) led to the creation of a lower rating category within the framework used to measure the energy performance of dwellings. Advance can be fixed to walls, ceilings or in a loft space.

Advance Plus has all of the benefits of Advance with the addition of an automatic 100% summer bypass, but maintains the same outstanding performance. The bypass opens automatically when the outside temperature exceeds 20°C.

Eco 4 HRU Heat Recovery Unit

Eco 4 HRU (Heat Recovery Unit) – removes contaminated air and recovers heat in the incoming air supply.

The HRU ECO 4 ensures year-round comfort and low energy bills to occupants of the modern airtight home. While removing contaminated wet air from kitchens, utility rooms and bathrooms, the unit simultaneously introduces fresh preheated air to other rooms in the home.

The HRU ECO 4 diverts up to 91% of heat from the air, leaving the building in the incoming supply. A 100% summer bypass valve prevents unwanted heat entering the home on hotter days, while at the other end of the temperature gauge, a frost protection device prevents the unit from freezing. Suitable for homes with up to 175 m2 of floor space, the HRU ECO 4 uses less energy than intermittent fans.
