IKO were chosen to survey the Academy roofs and recommend a proposal for renewing the aged and weathered membrane this included many non compliant and fragile roof lights.
Solution. After a thorough roof survey including core sampling a new roofing system was designed to incorporate a tapered Insulation to remove the excess rainwater and also improve the thermal efficiency of the classrooms, A bespoke solution was provided to over sail the trouble-some low level Finlock integral gutters. During the installation both adverse falls & hidden internal outlets were found resulting in the taper Insulation for one roof being completely redesigned.
