Tricorn House, Birmingham

OVERVIEW

Iconic Birmingham landmark transformed from 1970’s offices to modern, functional work space. Underfloor air conditioning was offered as a potential solution to the restrictive 2.8 m slab height which could cause problems in providing thermal comfort to meet tenants expectations. Low energy comfort cooling and heating is now offered throughout, with the increased headroom fundamental for letting agents and investors seeking high quality space. The floor plenum is reduced to 175 mm, and the ceiling void reduced to 80 mm, resulting in a floor to ceiling height of 2.5 m.
