NUDURA’s Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF) building system was selected for this low energy house clad in western red cedar. ‘The Red House’ is an Architect’s home designed to have exceptional levels of insulation combined with high thermal mass. The actual energy performance of the building, is outstanding. In the first year after commissioning, the data revealed there were zero energy costs.
