OVERVIEW
The Institute of Civil Engineers is a grade 1 listed building in Central London. In order to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act, a solution for wheelchair users was needed for external access to the reception area, over stairs. Given the technical expertise of the visitors to the Institute, the unique engineering concept of our system was very appealing as it offered a practical solution to disabled access very much in keeping with the professionalism of the Institute's membership body.
