Technal Systems showcased on Materials Innovation Factory

Advanced glazing systems from TECHNAL have been utilised by Dortech Architectural Systems Ltd for the construction of the new Materials Innovation Factory (MIF) located within the University of Liverpool's "Knowledge Quarter" - helping to create an important research facility for the development of new technologies.

The research building, completed in 2017, is visually more striking thanks to the way the project architects, Fairhursts Design Group have combined different systems to create the main facade, as well as a link structure to the existing building, further enhancing the appearance of the curtain walling in one area with the use of bespoke feature caps.

The 11,600m², multi-million pound project has been led by BAM Construction, with Dortech Architectural Systems Ltd having designed, manufactured and installed a package of product.
