Tallest Building in the World - Access Hatch

OVERVIEW

Burj Khalifa set a new global record at 818 meters high, being named the tallest building in the world. The spire was erected in the third week of December 2008, since then a beacon has been installed on the top, usually the topping out of a tower. Surespan was proud to be involved in such an achievement having supplied Burj Khalifa with a 600mm diameter, polished grade 316 stainless steel simulated submarine access hatch with handwheels, located two meters from the top at 816 meters and is used for maintenance access to the aircraft warning lights.
