Stelrad radiators selected for impressive new Bristol development

OVERVIEW

Stelrad radiators have once again been selected by a new build developer – this time for an attractive new development close to the centre of Bristol in St Werburghs. Acorn Developments has chosen the Stelrad Compact with Style radiator design for the main part of the new homes and its Classic Towel rails for the bathrooms in these modern, three storey homes. The radiators were installed by plumbing and heating sub-contractor Gregor Heating from Bristol.

Acorn is an independent development and regeneration specialist that has, for many years, successfully created a range of residential-led refurbishment and new build schemes. Following Acorn’s ‘Different by Design’ ethos, its experienced, imaginative management, construction and sales teams has enabled it to become one of the country’s most successful property developers and partners.

This latest development is an excellent show piece for the developer and its use of Stelrad’s premium radiators is in line with the overall high specification of these impressive homes.

Centred around the iconic landmark chimney, Brooks Dye Works is an exciting mix of eighty-one new 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes. This is a key regeneration site in St Werburghs, Bristol, featuring new pedestrian routes linking to the surrounding areas and neighbouring Mina Road Park. The former Brooks Laundry dates back to the 19th century when the site was used for industrial units by Brooks Dyers and Cleaners. Each home will benefit from open plan, flexible design with parking and outside space, there will also be additional visitor parking on site. Some of the homes will feature an electric car charge point. It’s ideally located less than a mile from Montpelier and Stapleton Road train stations and under half a mile from the M32 motorway – so this new development will benefit from good access in and out of the city.

“We’re pleased to see our Compact with Style radiators matched with the Classic towel rails in the bathrooms in these excellent homes,” says Stelrad’s head of marketing, Chris Harvey. “We’re seeing our premium panel, decorative and designer radiators specified with increasing frequency in new build developments and its clear they offer good looking options for providing comfort heating.”
