Stapehill Abbey Transformation

OVERVIEW

For this 19th century, Grade II listed abbey, the Cascade cast iron style rainwater system met the specification for performance, aesthetic appeal and cost effectiveness, to transform this unique project into forty-seven luxury homes.

The developer, Ankers and Rawlings, were committed to retaining many of the abbey’s original period features. To meet these requirements Scott Worsfold Associates specified the Cascade rainwater system as it had all the aesthetics of cast iron, whilst offering all the benefits of plastic materials in terms of cost-effectiveness, low maintenance and easy installation.

With a variety of roof sizes and gutter capacity requirements at the abbey, Cascade was supplied in both Deepstyle 115mm gutters with 68mm downpipes and Deepstyle 170mm with 105mm downpipes. A number of Ogee style and Dated hoppers with the year 2017 were also specified for various buildings.
