To help Skanska meet their ambitious timescale for the ‘Deep Green’ redevelopment of 5,000 sqm of workshops and offices, Invisible Connections were engaged to provide engineering advice regarding precast concrete connections.
BSF connectors were used instead of corbels to join the precast columns and beams, forming the concrete frame of the building.
By using the unique BSF telescopic connectors range, the precast columns and beams were constructed quickly and accurately and the building shell was assembled in just 4 weeks. Offsite construction methods delivered not only significant time efficiencies but also ensured high levels of safety and reduced wastage.
