This bulthaup kitchen in a North London period home, combines fitted furniture in b1 with a freestanding b2 cabinet. The simplicity of the white lacquered b1 cabinets, with a white composite stone worktop, sits well within this period space. The oak natural b2 cabinet neatly houses an integrated coffee machine with a dishwasher below on one side and useful storage on the other. The unit can be left open when in use or closed when not to keep the space tidy and uncluttered. Architectural photography by Alexander James
