Overcoming the challenges facing the Council was key to the success of the project. These were health and safety, time, cost, and aesthetics. A cold applied system was used to secure the membrane,
eliminating the need for naked flames on the roof.
Norwich City Council commented, “The Castle Museum houses collections of national importance, not only did we have to consider the safety of staff and the public, but also the historic collections whose home is beneath the rotunda roof. The need to elimate hot works on this project was a huge issue in specifiying the products to be used.”
