Nightingale North West

OVERVIEW

Working alongside BDP and Vinci Construction, we assisted with the fitout of the 750 bed hospital. This project took up to 1,000 people working 24-hours a day to from start to finish. The entire project was completed in less than 13 days – a real testament to the hard work that was put in from people at every level across the construction industry. Officially known as Nightingale Hospital North West, the facility was created to treat coronavirus patients from across the region who did not require intensive care but still needed treatment. This then relieved pressure and freed critical care beds in existing hospitals. The venue is part of Manchester Central’s exhibition and conference complex. The building’s main hall was divided into 18 wards with a total floor space of 14,500m2. We manufactured and installed nurse bases, handwash stations, worktops, clinical cabinets and racking from our RapidWard range. The furniture’s unique mobile design allowed for a rapid, easy installation for the team on site.
