NHS Louisa Jordan

OVERVIEW

NHS Louisa Jordan Hospital was a step-down facility for patients recovering from Covid-19. The hospital facilities were built within the existing Scottish Event Campus buildings in Glasgow. The facility was constructed to give extra capacity should NHS Scotland require additional flexibility during the pandemic. The 24,000m2 of space was converted into a field hospital providing 1,036 beds and 90 high dependency units. WorkSpace Design supplied and installed Nurse Stations, IPS, IPS Trough Stations, Mobile Hand Wash Stations and much more. Due to the nature of the pandemic programme for delivering the facility, the project was delivered within an incredibly short space of time from design to installation. The staff at NHS Louisa Jordan will have vaccinated around 175,000 people across the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area, carried out more than 32.000 outpatient appointments and trained over 6,900 healthcare staff and students. We are privileged to have been part of this national effort in supporting our NHS on the frontline.
