New-Build Retirement Block Receives the Benefits of both a Hot Melt, Bituminous and Cold Applied Liquid Roofing Systems

IKO Permatec Hot Melt was used in the gutters and balconies where a bison slab was used for the deck. On the main roof area was a timber deck and the preferred system for this was a built-up bituminous membrane system. IKO Challenger 180 nailed layer, IKO Systems Torch-on Underlay and IKO Superflex Cap Sheet were installed. Difficult details were overcome by using IKO Polimar EC/UV cold liquid applied system, then a scattering of mineral was applied whilst still wet to provide a matching finish to the bituminous membrane.
