Initial Situation In the Orkney College campus the clay chimney lining was not suitable to serve the two new condensing boilers fitted. Project Challenge Stainless steel was not an option as it would have caused the diameter of the lined flue to be too small it would have inevitably caused damage to the chimney structure. Solution The two chimneys were lined in just two days' time. The FuranFlex25 liner was inflated to take up the size and shape of the original chimney flue providing a flue suitable for condensing boilers. See video case study at the link.
